Well, I must be off to the theater.  Tonight's the official opening night!  I don't know how many tickets are sold, but I don't think we'll have a tiny crowd. :)

Be back later!

We have an almost full house!  Only about five seats were left unseated. :D

On June 7,  my niece and Former DR  had her baby. It's a boy. His first and middle names are Warner Harrison.  She said I can't call him Harry....we'll see.  She now has her three sons :)

She wanted everyone to wait to say anything until she officially announced it on FB.  She has done that, so I'm free to tell you guys about it.   She had a c-section.  She and "Harry" went home today...at least I think they did, they were supposed to and I haven't heard anything different

I was supposed to be driving mom and dad to my nephew's wedding in Mo. this weekend.  We would have left this morning for what, with stops, would have been a 10 hour drive. With this unbearable heat and with the increasing dementia, it would have been awful.  Mom and dad were disappointed when I cancelled the trip a couple weeks ago, but now they have both told me that they are very glad we didn't make the trip. I am VERY glad

This has been a goofy week  It's baseball season. I've got season tickets to our local independent professional team.  They finished a 6 game home stand on Wednesday so I went to all those games.  I also worked at home Monday and Tuesday doing an appeal brief.  The  Wednesday game was a noon game. I did work at the office in the morning but then left.  Thursday I worked most of the day and today I took off.  I really did accomplish things at the office, but feel like I didn't do anything. Good grief I wrote and filed a 25 page brief.   Strange I feel like I haven't worked

After working like crazy for the past few months, it's been a God send to take a bit of a break. Having tickets to 50 baseball games makes me do that and it's really a relaxing thing for me.  I have a "baseball family", lots of friends there and being in the park is so nice.  I do enjoy the game and have learned a lot about it in the past few years, but just being there is what really relaxes me.

Oh I almost forgot I made it to two board meetings this week too.  Why do I feel like I haven't done anything?

I am very glad they are on the road until next Friday. I don't have to sit out in this heat to watch them. I can listen or watch on my computer. Nice.

DR JEANNE - I have a portable air conditioner.  The vent is hooked via what looks like the flexible tube used in a dryer vent.  It fits right in my window.  I'm sorry you don't have a window or opening that would work....because it cools my entire room very nicely - even on the low setting.

Could you post a photo of yours or something like it? None of the pics I've seen show it actually installed.

My "obvious" window currently holds a window AC unit, but it just doesn't cut the mustard, so to speak.

Can't the window AC unit be removed?  The portable venting hoses are really easy to put in the window and take out.

I'm planning to do some book work for the office here at home this weekend and do some cleaning and furniture rearranging.  I can do all those things without going outside. :)

DR Elmore,
I get what you are saying about HAMILTON.  Honestly, I'm really glad I went to all the shows I did several years ago. I couldn't afford to do it now.  I would never pay the prices they are asking for a ticket to HAMILTON no matter how good it is

Wow, I just realized that my last trip to NYC was May 2008. Didn't realize it had been that long, but it was the month before CURTAINS closed, so according to IBDB it had to be 2008

Of course I haven't traveled anywhere other than to see my parents for either 3 or 4 years.  I don't miss traveling. Funny, I used to love it

Callie has good days and bad days.  I was not happy with the vet, so I haven't taken her back.  I think she's getting better. If she has more bad days, I'm going back to my last vet.  I only left there for convenience, but I liked her better than this one, so I may give her a call
