I've been going non-stop all morning, in a good way.

Dishes still need washing though we stopped for dinner on our way home from shopping at the Woodburn Discount stores in Oregon.  The place is huge.  Forty-five minutes to get there, two hours to shop in two stores, an hour and a half to get home.  I really hadn't eaten much in the morning.  It was easy to stop at Beaches, a favorite of ours, located on the river and conveniently located between our freeway exit and home.

Back from a nice and fun dinner with Lanny at the Eclectic Cafe - had that same risotto dish and some mac-and-cheese for extra starch.

Sounds like a fun day, George!

It was, Fred!  We went down to the local (closed) brewery and walked around the park and the Deschutes River.  We then went to the Olympia's farmers market, then we walked around the capitol building.  Finally, we went to my sister's house and I crashed.

I left my sister's house, got the programs printed, got some food, and now I'm at the theater.

Went to an interesting new show this evening called 14. The director created it for his 14-year-old daughter. It was a dance piece about growing up in a post-9/11 world.

The piece was surprising because it was so unlike the rest of the stuff that I've seen this theater troupe produce. Last year, they did Carnage, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf, True West and The Irish Curse.

This season, they presented an Italian puppet theater troupe doing Pinnochio, a one-woman show about the slaughter of the Amish girls in Pennsylvania, a show about soccer moms, and now this.

I like the variety but I wonder what ticket holders must think.

On this day, June 16, the entire novel of Ulysses takes place.

I didn't have time to re-read any of it, but I am listening to "Himself and Nora," a not-very-good musical version of Joyce's life with his wife.

Watched the rest of a rather dull "ladies' movie" from 1941 called "When Ladies Meet" with Joan Crawford, Greer Garson, Robert Taylor and Herbert Marshall. Yawn.
