I really didn't get anything from a few other Pulitzer winners. The Brief, Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao is one that comes to mind.

Friends and I wanted to go to a new Thai place tonight.

When we arrived, there was a sign saying the place was closed for the weekend because of Father's Day.

But I ate too many carbs, including a watermelon panzanella. The croutons were flavored with citrus and a little balsamic, tossed with watermelon, almonds, mint, and olives. Nice balance of flavors.

Then I went up to church and met a friend and we set up communion in the chapel and the main sanctuary

The lovely Sara who normally cooks for the soup kitchen was running a luncheon for our Diakonia graduates today so I was in charge

She had very kindly done all the shopping and packed up all the things that were needed and left me notes as to where to find the frozen and Fran fooda

The usual cook from the Monday through Friday soup kitchen held I. That site had come down to help . Not on,y that he had already prpepRed some trays of food Nd offered to cook that which I had brought. Also there wee five volunteers for. The church where this is held

It all went very well and 73 were served
