Just went through the book room closet - or began to. So far I've unearthed some rather amazing stuff. Two conductor scores for movie cues - one by Ronald Stein for Dementia 13, one for Jerry Fielding from, I believe, Hogan's Heroes. I think I'll frame them. These are, of course, written in the composer's hand.
A gorgeous ORIGINAL photo of Natalie Wood, what I think they call a silver gelatin print by the legendary William Claxton - I believe this is one-of-a-kind and is from shoot she did for Cinema Magazine. While they didn't use this shot on that cover, this does have her holding a little ticket that says, "Cinema." Priceless. I could probably put that in an auction and do very well.
A photo copy of the first cue (after the main title) for James Bernard's The Hound of the Baskerville's score - signed to me.
A huge number of gorgeous color photos from the movie of Bells are Ringing - didn't even know I had them.
A signed lobby card from Ride the High Country - signed by Joel McCrea twice as the pen was running out of ink the first time.
Some original large color photos from one of the later Ozu films - very rare.
One of the original circular display things for the cast of Spartacus that was at the Pantages when the movie played there. It's like they are on the poster, but these are separate things - I have Jean Simmons.
Two paintings used for paperback covers - one a nurse paperback that I've never been able to find, and the other a western for which I do have the book.
Two Kiki's Delivery Service cels and two cels from the anime series called Noir.
And lots of other goodies, including a whole slew of movie programs, just those little two-pager things they give out at screenings, but really good ones. And several pressbooks I didn't know I had, including North by Northwest, Invaders from Mars (with the comic book giveaway), Li'l Abner (of course) and several other goodies.
An original Harvey Schmidt doodle/drawing he did while we were having one of our long telephonic chats - it's really fun and I framed it really nicely along with his handwritten note about him doing it while we were talking.
