And I am back, with the appointment for MY PROCEDURE set for August 31st.

At 7:30 in the morning, yet.  First one of the day.  Which means little or no sleep at all the night before.  I tried to get one later in the day, even looking on different days, but I guess a few other people have had that idea before me and nothing's available.

We prefer the first appointment of the day.  It is ok if you don't get much sleep because the doctor will make sure you get a nap ;)

Vibes to BK that no harm was done when he clicked unwisely.

DR Chas, having the first appointment means you can finish the drink the night before.  There is NO WAY I could drink that in the morning.

Leo (and Ben) came to Xanadu callbacks with me and slept through the entire thing.  It was a long day.  The drive to pick up Leo was about 3+hours, and coming home was a little more.  Now it's time to start working on a routine.

Other than that, it's business as usual.

Awww.  He is a cutie :)

I'm so angry right now I could explode.  I'm so careful about these spoof e-mails and even though some are convincing I haven't fallen for one of them in over a decade.  This morning, going through my e-mails I have one saying someone tried to log in to iTunes ordering a book and if it wasn't me to click the link.  Now, I'd JUST gotten one of these yesterday because I'd logged in via my iPad and they always alert you when that happens from a device you haven't used.

So, like a complete moron I ignored everything they always tell you and clicked through, where I was presented with an absolutely authentic looking Apple page to enter all my info.  And like an even bigger moron, and because I'm still groggy, I actually start to do it, starting with my iTunes user name and password.  I get as far as social security number when my brain finally clicked in and I stopped instantly, erased everything else and got the hell out of there - I was literally about fifteen seconds from pressing the send button.  I instantly cleared my cache and my history, and am hoping that the page itself contained nothing harmful, but I don't know how to tell that.  But unless they were on the page with me because I clicked it, and they were following along, they didn't get the social, but did get the address, date of birth, etc.  I'm changing my Apple ID password right now.

 :o

VIBES THEY DIDN'T GET ANY INFORMATION!

Jamie Lee Curtis was delightful this morning and well worth staying one night longer than we might have if there had been a different closing session speaker.

I am not surprised.

You should all know that I am absolutely delightful today.

I felt it needed to be remarked upon.

;)

Well, I need to leave work.  My sister bought some scented candles and other (nicely) smelly things from a former co-worker who now sells such things, and they arrived today.  I need to bring them to my sister.  So, I will.

Be back later.

I think I'll go to a jog just to get myself out of this stupid stupor this stupid Malick movie is putting me in and there's forty more minutes of it to go.

Trying to cull through some DVDs to give to a Wounded Warriors project. I think I pulled a few that I won't watch again (or, if I do, I can probably find at the library).

That sound exactly like my response to The New World. I thought it was filmed in real time. And it covered decades.

Watching "The Wanton Countess," but not too closely.

This is the English-language version of Senso, and even though Farley Granger uses his real voice, you can tell it's dubbed.

The English script was by Tennessee Williams and Paul Bowles, but they must have been drunk or high or something when they wrote it. Fake poetry at its worst.

Clementine in the Kitchen. It's a memoir from a family from the Northeast who move to France just before WWII. They get called back to the States before the war, and they bring their French cook with them.

She doesn't find shopping or cooking in America to agree with everything she does.
