Well, you've read the notes, the notes had musique and spoke of Francaise, and now it is time for you to post until the French cows come home.

Today the cast begins rehearsal at 11:00.  We'll see how much music they've forgotten in two days.

French composers?  Bizet and Ravel at the very top.

After that, Debussy, Saint-Saens, and Andre Messager.

Today is sort of ME-ish, as long as I remember to show up at rehearsal tonight.

It is also the beginning of my life as a young lady in Amer--

No.  That's not right.  Here's what it is.  It's the day, at last, that I can mail the '1776' program reproductions to our very own DR Jrand65.

My friend kind of saved the day on these.  Her office has a beautiful color laser printer to which my inkjet can't hold a candle, and she put the covers on a heavy paper stock.  And they have the long reach stapler which is something I never got around to getting for myself here.  Anyhoo, they'll be on their way within the hour.

I also included copies of the four panels of the gatefold Pioneer Special Edition laserdisc that was all the rage in its day.  DR Jrand65, we could only print those on regular size paper so please PM me an email address and I'll send you the digital files which may be more useful.

French composers:

No one's said Berlioz yet.  Or Milhaud and Poulenc.  And I love those in addition to the usual suspects, so there you have it.

I know I'm forgetting a good additional name or two, but it's too damn early in the morning.

And now I must be off.  After stopping by the local branch of the United States Postal Service, I must pick up some Flonase and a new can of Deep Woods Off, and then I'm treating myself to a Sausage McMuffin with Egg breakfast.

Regarding SILK STOCKINGS:

It's been many years since I saw the film, but as I recall, Janis Paige was terrific.

BTW: When I was in college at the University of Washington during the early 1960s, I saw a production of the show at Seattle's outdoor Aqua Theater (Is it still there?)

The star was comedian Jan Murray, who was quite funny, but could not sing.  I believe he was a last minute replacement for Don Ameche.

Today, I do my monthly film hosting at the Austin Public Library.

We're showing HIGH NOON, a movie that was saved in the editing room.

Thursday morning greetings!  I'm having a haircut today and a mani/pedi tomorrow.  I may still be in a funk, but at least I'll look better...

I am very excited to received said items DR CHAS SMITH.  We will have the BEST lobby display in town....and I of course will have photographic evidence of same....

The director has a Betsy Ross flag.....she wants me to put the other items on top of it, but I am not sure of the protocol of that.....I don't want anyone to be offended that I would essentially be using the flag as a doily.....

Speaking of which...

I had checked out the Flonase while in Walmart for something last week, but something told me the prices just weren't anything special and I waited.  So this morning I stopped into my old CVS where I'd first bought it since it went from prescription to over-the-counter, and the name brand looked to be about the same price.

But wait!  CVS now has their own store brand, same ingredients, etc., and their own 2-pack was on sale -- get this -- for the same price as a SINGLE pack of the name brand.  Fifty percent, man.  Can't beat it.

I also needed Deep Woods Off, and they were running a B1G1-at-50%-off sale, so I now have two (count 'em) cans of Deep Woods Off.
