And now, I must go.  My sister and niece are at a PFLAG Olympia booth at the Olympia's Farmer's Market, so I'll visit for a bit.  And I just saw on FB that another friend will be there at her booth, selling scented candles and things.

I am home, still furious over the violin situation, and today there was a row between the music director and the director.  I spoke to our producer about the situation, and perhaps after the reading we will reach some rapport.  At the moment, I'm not happy.

We did have a good runthrough, and the show came in at 85 minutes without applause.  Just right for this piece.

I did some laundry and soon need to do some cleaning. I'm not in the best of moods today. I'm STILL trying to get back to normal after Tuesday's dental visit. Thankfully, it doesn't usually hit me like this.

Good news on the AC front. I was at the hairdresser the other day and we started talking about AC. (He'd just ordered a swamp cooler for the back of his salon.) When I complained about my unit not being adequate he reminded me that the filter needs to be cleaned regularly. Filter? I didn't think this one had a filter. I pulled out the booklet and sure enough, it does. It is so well hidden that you could look right at it dozens of times and not see it. So I cleaned it and...viola! Works much better! Yay!

I love it when some simple intervention takes care of a problem. I really don't do well in warm rooms; I'm MUCH more comfortable in coolness.

I inherited some property when my mother died that was jointly owned by her brother. When her brother died his share went to his three kids. We sold it just before the real estate market crashed. I am so glad we did! I was fortunate that my three cousins were more than happy to let me handle things. That side of the family is extremely stubborn and bickers like crazy. I think they regarded me as objective third party, who would get things done and wouldn't get involved with their disputes.

Of course, the escrow agent didn't pay attention to the CLEARLY-written instructions and divided the proceeds equally between us. I owned a half share and my three cousins owned one-sixth each (a half-share to all three jointly). The checks all had to be returned and rewritten. Had that been my error I would have felt HORRIBLE. This person acted like it was nothing. Everything was straightened out, but one does wonder about people sometimes.
