Jrand - Of course, you'll want to have the Vic Mizzy theme from "The John and Abigail Adams Family" running on a loop to get people in the mood for the show.

If you come to the Pacific Northwest we will be able to once again meet in person :)

DR John G, the memoirs progress. I send chapters out every now and then.  My brother Randy's been getting everything I've written, but he doesn't respond much.  I fear he may be embarrassed by some of my confessions or not necessarily happy about my airing the family's dirty laundry.  My cousin Sue Ellen and Rob Berman are the only ones to have read everything.  Sue usually responds with very helpful comments about the view from outside family members or remembers additional details that I'd forgotten. I sent my friend Pam the chapter on graduate school to see what she remembered, and I sent DR Ginny the chapter on college.

They really are progressing  8)

Our new super is named Val.  He's a young newly-married gentleman.  As I returned from the market, I saw him washing down the sidewalk.  I hope he works out.

Vibes he does!

LOL that's funny DR FJL.

You are correct DR ELMORE - the line doesn't matter.

I have the OBC LP that I am still looking for......I hope to find it in the next few days.  We don't open until Thursday.

Tonight is Family Night.....or Nightmare....as the case may be.

Got a copy of the new Blu-ray for The Ratings Game starring Danny de Vito and directed by him, too.  For years, the score composer has allowed people who did not scour the end credits to believe he wrote all the music in the show, including all the faux TV themes, affiliates song, and the faux TV network logo music.  People give him credit, he says nothing about him not having written any of that stuff.  In fact, he uses some of it in his score.  Well, there's a really nice booklet with the Blu-ray and I'm happy to say the producer, David Jablin sets that record straight rather strongly with a lovely and big shout out to the person who did write all that music (and lyrics) - me.

DR Jane, I received a bell for my birthday. I had never had one before that.

I do like it a lot. Although I always slow down when passing people (whether i have the bell or not).

Congrats on the official recognition, BK!  And darn...back in March, I bought the region 2 Spanish release DVD from England for about the price of the Blu-ray.  Oh, well.  It's double-dipping time. :)

Today a bell, or call out, was not given and we were fine with it since the person went to the far side of the path when passing me.

Yes, sometimes I am on the outside of the path and Keith on the inside.

Ooo!  I probably won't save it, though.  60000 is much more of a millstone than 58000...for me.  If anyone wants their 58000 (or whatever) preserved, I'll be more than happy to, if I'm at a desktop computer.  My tablet isn't so great at doing that, but I'll do it!

So, just curious why so few people have mentioned the video.  It really means squat to me whether it's liked or not, but to not mention it seems churlish and makes me think no one is reading the notes.

Crazy day and not in especially good ways - but we're very close to having some interesting ALS news in terms of a last-minute cast addition and I can only tell you if it happens I will be one very happy Jew.

You should remember that I don't listen to most of these because I am very sensitive now to certain voices, and listening on the computer hurts.  It isn't a reflection on the singers, just a result of the nerve damage in my ears.

One of the most interesting threads ever on Home Theater Forum (and there have been some notable ones) currently involves a person who claims to own full rights to a very desirable bunch of 1950s sci-fi films, and he has possession of most, if not all, of the most important elements (negatives, prints, etc.).  The community at large is enjoying a rare conversation with this guy, including BK who has put up some wonderfully calm, lucid and eloquent rebuttals.  And BK is not alone, as the thread is attracting others, one of whom has allegedly won a court decision regarding one of the prime titles, and ... well, it's like watching some really good drama leading up to the courtroom scene.  Or just an eventual shutdown of the thread if it gets rowdy, who knows.  But it's been oddly civil so far, and I would hope that doesn't happen.

And I apologize that the above paragraph is shorthand for what's going on, so don't feel silly if you have no idea what in the HELL I could be talking about.  I just wanted to acknowledge a most interesting event in an area some of us care a lot about.
