I had the opportunity to meet many people of the years, but top twofavorites have been

Stephen Sondheim (been invited inside his house)
Angela Lansbury (worked with her on a tv movie. Got to talk with her asked her about Sondheim and her doing Sunset Blvd)

I've been up an hour.  I had to deal with an email problem, answer a request about orchestrating for band, and I need to finish up some G&D work before I head out around 1:00.

At 2:30 I'm seeing Dr Gitlin about these hip injections.  Before I go, I need a trip to post office.

Hayley Mills is incredibly talented. Are you having her sing anything else besides "Let's Get together"?

I was somehow allowed to sleep in a bit this morning, and like I've said before, sleeping more than usual is always a hotbed for the absolutely craziest dreams, and they go on, and on, and on.

This one concerned a graduation day.  Mine, perhaps, who knows.  And concert music needing to be prepared.  And laundry needing to be done.  And living in a bizarre house with the craziest bathroom.  And being around a bunch of people in the nearby school lobby who I sort of knew, with the few I did know being involved in some bizarre project in a small room just out of sight.

And as I began to wake up and lie there for a moment, my eyes would close again and the thing would resume, practically seamlessly.  Finally I said Enough! and got the hell up.

DR Elmore, you mentioned an email problem.  Did you get one from me yesterday?  No hurry on replying!, just checking -- because oddly enough, I have three (3) emails sent out yesterday that don't have replies yet, something that happens to me now and then and if I recall correctly, you said that happened to you not long ago.

I'm going to have to think about the TOD.  It's a good question and I need to do some reminiscing.

TOD:

That is such a difficult question.  I've met so many, and almost all have been interesting in different ways.

It would be easier to answer who was the least interesting, and that would have to be:

Oops!  I'd better not say, because he's still alive.

He used to be a major television star; had a couple of hit series.

I met him at a party many years ago.  He was friendly, but so BORING.

You didn't like Murray Abraham?

I met him when he was playing Al Capone in the film I wrote.  He seemed like a nice guy.  We spoke on the phone a few times after that.

I have been looking at a slide show of photos of the Montreal Botanical Gardens.  I would like to go there.  DR Jennifer is it as impressive as the photos?

TOD:
I've spoken with very few celebrities. When Mark was writing for the Ventura County Star newspaper, he occasionally interviewed celebrities on the phone from our house. I talked him into letting me answer the phone like a secretary: "Mark Wyckoff's desk, may I help you?" even though they were calling our house. It was pretty funny. I got to answer the phone for Burt Ward and Bob Eubanks that way. Unfortunately, I wasn't home when Huey Lewis called us.
The only celebrities I've talked to for any length of time are David Cassidy and Shirley Jones (not at the same time). They are both charming, interesting people.

HMMMMM.....TOD:

Donna Douglas - who was making an appearance for a radio station in my hometown, and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to walk down the street and meet Elly May Clampett.  She was charming and loved talking to people....EXCEPT for the Elvis Presley impersonator who wanted a photo with her - she was a bit freaked out.

But my favorite celebrity meeting was with MR BK himself....when he and DR CHARLES POGUE came to Indy several years ago.....FUN!!!!
