Well, today is going to be a day! First, I'm working concessions for a matinee performance of a local production of The Fantasticks. I love the show and hope I get to see most of it.

After that, I'm going to The Midnight Sun for Theater Artists Olympia's first night (of two) of auditions for their next full production, the fifth annual An Improbable Peck of Plays. It's an annual festival of one-acts. I'm an assistant stage manager (first time EVER), and I think I'll be the only staff member there. The four directors, of course, will be there, but the main stage manager and the other ASM have prior commitments, so they can't be there. They'll both be there for Monday's audition night. But since the directors will be doing most of the work, I think tonight I'll mainly just be the helper with a box of pencils.

When the current off Broadway run of the fantasticks started many moons ago I got a preview notice in the mail with a special offer I grabbed and bought 3 tickets to a Sunday matinee

At the last moment Vixdad could not go so firmer DR WFO and the then child Vixter and I w end and found the seats were effectively on the stage Front row, dead center and the actors practically trod on our feet.

During one scene where there was confetti and ribbons shot on stage one of the actors scooped up two handfuls and walked over and dumped it on the Vixter

During the intermission we ran into DR Elmore who was there with a friend.

The old actor was being played by Elmore's friend Mr Tom Jones himself and after the show Elmore brought us backstage and introduced us
