Voldemort is basically a middle school girl: he has a locket, a diary, a tiara, a ring, and is completely obsessed with a teenage boy.

The Kritzerland at Sterling's 70th anniversary show was wonderful! There's not much I can say that Bruce hasn't already said. Richard Sherman's song about hygiene was hilarious and he was reading the lyrics, but got a little bit tongue-tied in the middle of it and then quickly said, "Who wrote these lyrics?!" which got a big laugh out of the audience.
The two new men in the show were great and I look forward to seeing them again. "Love Revolution" is one of my favorite musical theater songs and it's almost never sung, so it was great hearing it again for the first time in years.
Bruce did a great job filling in for Guy Haines. His voice sounded great, as always, and he handled the complicated and wordy "The Maladjusted Jester" with aplomb.

I Love My Wife has two great songs for the women characters, Love Revolution and Someone Wonderful I Missed. You never hear either of them enough.

We watched about two-thirds of The Pirates of Penzance today. Love that movie. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but I think it's great.

We then went to see The BFG at the theater. I had read great stuff about this movie. Supposed to be a children's classic from Spielberg, etc.

I fell asleep. It was about 20 minutes, maybe 30 minutes too long. No pacing, no great builds in suspense.

Only a few fart jokes drew laughs from the people in the audience. That included the kids, who seemed fidgety. But they were well behaved.

My parents only found it fitfully amusing. I don't know that they understand the world of animation much.

There was one part that would have been perfect for BK when he was younger. It was a servant of the queen, and the actor was not up to the challenge of mining all the humor that the part had in it. Sadly, the actor's biggest laugh was, you guessed it, a fart joke.

I was busy all day--and still didn't get everything done. I slept late, which is unusual for me, giving me a late start. Laundry is done and bills are paid, but I still don't know where the day went.

Larry, THIS LIFE sounds like something I'd like. Where are you getting it from? Neither Netflix nor Acorn, my two sources for British stuff, offer it. Hulu? BBC America?

Acorn is now showing 800 WORDS, an Australian show which I'm enjoying. I'm seldom disappointed in films or TV shows from Australia or New Zealand.

You'd think it was a holiday or something, but seriously, Labor people, get off you butt cheeks and get some postin' goin' on or this will truly be a completely pathetic all time low day.
