After thunderstorms last night it was a beautiful day today --- temps in the 70's and sunny.

Sadie the dog is sound asleep on the recliner while DR Kate's husband is asleep on the floor, having been kicked off his chair by said Sadie.

I've heard "on set" twice on TCM in the last ten minutes.

Starting to watch Miles Ahead. Don Cheadle is great as Miles Davis, but I don't have the concentration for it tonight.

I once saw Miles Davis at a Newport Jazz Festival in Sarasota. I was down in the photo pit right at the edge of the stage. Incredible. Wish I had those photos, but the negatives were owned by the paper.

My three sisters came over tonight to have a slumber party with my MOM.  First we watched movies in the living room.

I chose SUMMER MAGIC and THE RELUCTANT DEBUTANTE both of which were great hits with the populace.

They have now retired to the bedroom to watch some shows ON DEMAND whilst I try to sleep.

I bought that movie for my dad's birthday last month.  I don't know if he's watched it yet, but he LOVES Miles Davis' music, so I hope it's good and he likes it.

One of the readers in WORDS: Sci-Fi invited everyone to come to her and her husband's house to watch "Close Encounters of the Third Kind."  I haven't seen it in years (even though I do own it), so I'm going to go.  And it's time for me to go!

Be back later.

I'm home. We watched the extended director's cut.  It's only 5 minutes longer than the shortest cut, the "Special Edition."  All the little extra moments are character development and just add to the movie without being distracting.  It still holds up and I still love it. :)

Although the score (12-10) looks more like a baseball score rather than football.
