I traveled much of the world on business trips and am now quite happy not to do so. It's exhausting. It was interesting, to be sure, but IF I'm going to travel, I'd rather do it on my terms.

I think Keith agrees with you.  He likes cruises to avoid dragging luggage from place to place.

Jeanne, LACC had nothing to do with it - it was the people handling the event - all political and LAUSD and downtown.  They never gave any reason for the cancellation.  Believe me, the chair of the department was kind of really annoyed about it.

Since my shoulder break drying/styling my hair is painful.  I opened up a story on the new Dyson, lighter weight faster drying hairdryer, hoping it would help with my problem.  It might, except the darn thing costs $400.  I think I will continue to suffer ;D

I, too, was interested when I first learned about it last spring. It's only just hit the market, though. In time, the price will drop. Maybe not enough, but it's likely to fall.

I agree.  With luck it will drop to a reasonable price.  I watched a selection of woman who tried it, all but one liked it very much, until they heard the price ;D

Allergies. My right eyeball is itching and working my last nerve.

Have you tried lubricating eye drops? My eyes used to feel sandy (before the surgeries). I didn't realize that's one of the symptoms of dry eyes. Why don't people mention these things?? My favorites are Bausch & Lomb Soothe and Thera Tears, but there are lots of others available. There are also drops specifically for allergies.

I like Genteal gel drops for dry eyes and Alaway for itchy eyes.

My vision is OK. I have problems with floaters that I didn't have before the surgeries. The surgeon didn't seem concerned, but it's a bit annoying. If this had been an elective surgery, I'm not sure I'd be happy, but the cataracts needed attention. It's good to not be so dependent on glasses and I've gotten used to using eye drops 2-5 times each day.

Floaters can be a side effect of the surgery.  Keith has one smack in the middle of his vision.

Funny, I hadn't even thought about getting the book published.

Well, you just began writing it.

I too thought it was the LACC folks.  I am glad it wasn't and that the chair was annoyed.

Now, however, it is turning into an enjoyable exercise.  We shall see where it goes from here.

Thanks for asking.  It was 3 crowns in a row with one temp over the top.  The temporary crown split in half tonight.

Now this is weird!  I'm ketchuping on the posts while watching the first episode of Harry Connick Jr's new afternoon talk show that's on my DVR.  He just finished his opening monologue, and literally as I read the words "I got that" in Jane's post, Harry said the words "I Got This," when introducing a segment from his show called "I Got This"!  Weird!

Hey Georgie!  How was rehearsal.

Hi, Tom!  It went quite well.  We read through all eight plays.  I found out that one actress had to drop out because she got a paying gig, and another actor turned down the offer.  The actress was replaced with a strong runner-up, but they didn't replace the actor.  His three roles will be distributed among the other actors.
