I am still waiting to hear back from my friend, Betzy, about how she liked the book.

She sent me an e-mail this morning saying she was part way through it, but was really enjoying what she was reading.

Of course, I haven't received any e-mails since 6 p.m., so there is something wrong there.

In a couple of hours, I will be leaving.  I'm going with my friend Margo to Portland, Oregon, to see her eldest daughter perform in another cabaret act that she (her daughter) created.  Previous cabaret shows have been really good (if a little long), but she's got several of her friends performing with her.  It's called "Gender Bender Cabaret."

Fantastic performers will sing their favorite songs they rarely get to perform. Singers will sing songs usually sung by the other gender. You will hear songs range from classic rock, showtunes to 2010's pop!

She's a very good singer and performer, as all of her performing friends from previous shows have been, so it'll be good show.

Did you wave as you passed us?

Of course!

The cabaret show that I saw with my friend Margo was fun.  The venue was a very small restaurant and the sound wasn't great, but the performers were all experienced and all the songs were very well sung.

I'm home now, watching "The Big Bang Theory" season premiere.

It was good to get back to ushering. I hadn't done it in more than a month or so.

It's been a couple of months since I've ushered.  Rita Moreno is coming to the Washington Center the day before "An Improbable Peck of Plays Five" opens, so I can't volunteer. :(
