Back from a two-and-a-half mile jog - today was difficult for some reason or I might have done three-and-a-half. Still importing Mr. Brubeck - this stuff is just brilliant - you can see the trajectory from the early albums of standards, as he gets more adventurous and suddenly out of nowhere comes Time Out, one of the greatest albums ever made, a work of sheer unadulterated genius.

We're in the middle of the first act and it's going well. The house is filled but more than half are comps. But they're all enjoying it.
Of course, half the time I think I hear a gust rattling the windows, it turns out to just be the dancing hippos from upstairs.
My friend Betzy dropped by today to make sure the things on my balcony were secured.
