Here in downtown Olympia, the weather is fine, barely windy or raining.

DR George I am pleased you had a good show.  Vibes the weather doesn't interfere with the show tonight and that you have a good audience.

Thanks, Jane!  So far, so good.

My friend Betzy dropped by today to make sure the things on my balcony were secured.

When she came in the door, she handed me back a copy of my book.

She made corrections and suggestions about various things, which is exactly what I wanted her to do.

She managed to correct some of my grammatical errors.  HA!  Can you imagine me making grammar or spelling errors??

She also suggested (thank you, Bruce) that on my next pass I work on adding more color to my descriptions.

Back from a two-and-a-half mile jog - today was difficult for some reason or I might have done three-and-a-half.  Still importing Mr. Brubeck - this stuff is just brilliant - you can see the trajectory from the early albums of standards, as he gets more adventurous and suddenly out of nowhere comes Time Out, one of the greatest albums ever made, a work of sheer unadulterated genius.

My dad LOVES Dave Brubeck.  A few years ago, my sister and I bought tickets for our dad (and us) to see The Dave Brubeck Quintet at Jazz Alley in Seattle.  My dad thought that he'd never get to see Bruback perform live.  He LOVED the concert, which was wonderful. :D

Calling DR George

I should be able to if I'm on my computer.  Can you e-mail them to me?

It is still too large.  Shall I attempt to put it into our public photo bucket?

Yes, you should upload them to the HHW Photobucket site. :)

DR Laura, after the performance next Saturday, did you want to meet Captain von Trapp?  If so, IO will send him a message that you are coming to the show.

That would be swell, Elmore! But it will have to be a quick visit. That day is homecoming at the university and we'll need to get out of there because the place will be packed. (The theater is on the university grounds.)

I love that spot and that restaurant!

I have some photos (taken by our friend Bill when we saw a show at Goodspeed) of a trip there not all that long ago at this link on my blog:

Highest officially reported in Tacoma was 53 mph.

Hmmm, I have no idea how windy it was here.  Our condo was designed to keep noise out since we live near the airport and train tracks.

We're in the middle of the first act and it's going well.  The house is filled :D but more than half are comps. :-\ But they're all enjoying it. :)

Excellent!

Of course, half the time I think I hear a gust rattling the windows, it turns out to just be the dancing hippos from upstairs.
