I hate that distant-miked stuff.

And Bernstein, as wonderful a man and musician as he was, could be a mess of a conductor -- even with common American music like the Gershwin warhorses.  Even with his own damned music.

BAM!

Congratulations, DR Ron Pulliam!

You know, I just figured something out --

If I copy and paste an image directly into the post (this one was on my hard drive), it's only visible while I'm logged in.  Did everyone else know it works that way?

This must mean that the image isn't really ON the site, even though you pasted it in.  Is that correct?

So if you want something to be here forever and always be visible, what's the absolute best method for posting an image?

Yes I found that out the hard way, too,, DR CHAS SMITH.

Usually, I put the photo on BookFace, then right click it and use the copy image location - come here type:  (img)  then paste the image location, then type  (/img)  and the photo stays here.

But use brackets and the letters img instead of parens [...]  [/...]

They don't show up if you try it without a photo.  :o

Yes, we can't see your picture since it links to your personal computer. If you want, you can upload any image to a Photobucket account, then everyone will be able to see it, since it'll be there forever.  I created a (free) Photobucket account for HHW for just such occasions.  If you want, I can send you the instructions.  Many people here have uploaded their pictures so that they can be posted here. :)

If I remember correctly, if you link a picture from the BookFace, people here who don't have accounts won't see them because you have to have an account to even go to the site.

What should have been a almost leisurely day turned into going home at 10:30 pm because all three packages I needed for Monday arrived between 5 and 5:15 pm

Finished with my viewing - think I'll mosey on over to Gelson's and see if there's a little nosh there that piques my interest.  I had an omelet and a bagel for lunch around three o'clock.
