Sunday morning greetings!  We are about to embark on our road trip.  Our ultimate destination is Richmond, VA, for a clergy meeting, but we're doing a little vacationing on the way.  Tonight's stop is near Beckley, WV.

DR Ginny, I envy you the road trip.  That's going to be a particularly beautiful one, going through "deep" West Virginia and all.  I haven't been down that way since I was a kid.

Have a wonderful time!

I love most of the Budd Boetticher/Randolph Scott films.  Indeed, Budd used to be my publicity client.

On my wall, I have a framed lobby card from THE TALL T, signed by Budd and Randolph Scott.

We watched THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW last night.

Very disappointed.

The original movie was so much better.

Good morning.

Mr. Flu Shot visited me a couple weeks ago. In the late afternoon. I guess I am out of luck.

This morning I made pesto from basil grown in the backyard, and I diced hot peppers, also from the back yard. My foot survived without being diced.

And it will be hiking boots at church today, as I am working in the kitchen for the funeral and will be on my feet for hours.

I tried to watch the horror picture show a couple of times. I simply could not get into it at all.

I did watch this, though.

Monday rehearsal vibes for MR BK & Co.

I am enjoying reading about all of the classical music CD's even though I am left in the dust about most of them.

DR TCB that's a bummer about the rehearsal space.  Maybe rehearsals for your scenes could be changed and done when you get to the theatre.  As a director, I would accommodate you in that way.

And now I will say....it is official.....I am at 199.8 lbs.....thinner than I have been since 2004.

I hope to lose another 6-7 pounds just to have a small leeway in case I want to eat over the holidays!

I am so jealous!  And I am home from visiting Joshie.  The King & I orchestration is now ready for Wednesday's first rehearsal in Providence RI.  Joshie did beautiful work.

Larry, for someone in semi-retirement, you seem wonderfully active and busy!!!

It seems the same to me even if you are not as busy as you would like to be.

Oh, what a blessed sleep I had.  What a difference from this time yesterday.

I am envious, though I am very grateful for the 3 hours of sleep I had this morning.

I have not attempted to watch the show at all.  It simply does not appeal to me and I am glad Keith feels the same way.

Congratulations!  My opinion is always to drop extra pounds before I am in the situation where I might eat too much.  Of course, not overeating would be the smarter move ;)

I just got back from a used book store where I found a copy of director Edward Dmytryk's autobiography for $5.95.

Dmytryk, who directed MURDER, MY SWEET, CROSSFIRE, THE CAINE MUTINY, BROKEN LANCE,THE YOUNG LIONS and many other films,  was my publicity client for several years.

Best of all, the book was signed.

Thanks, DR ChasSmith!  We are settled into our hotel in Oak Hill, WV.  It was, indeed, a beautiful drive across southern Ohio and down through West Virginia.  The golden dome of the state capitol in Charleston was gleaming in the bright autumn sun.
