I am home, wet but very pleased, from the visit with the lawyers.  I think I am safe to go ahead with a project concerning intellectual property.  I have to write a formal resignation from a job that terminated five years ago and post it via priority mail tomorrow.

When I got home, there were two phone calls to return: one was from my brother Randy and the other concerned the Big Announcement, which is nigh and the salary, which was astonishing and will definitely pay for my trip to Ohio in 2017.

Resignation letter written.  I'll post it tomorrow morning.

Off to Denver at the Country Club of Virginia.  It better be good for how dressed up I had to get...

Oops, make that dinner at the Country Club of Virginia.  We'd received several emails about the strict dress code, so I had to bring clothes, shoes, and accessories just for this evening.  When I'm that dressed up I'd really like to be waited on.  The dinner was a buffet and dessert was cookies and brownies.  Not worth $50/each and wearing hose & heels, in my opinion.

Yikes!  That's too bad, Ginny.  You'd think they'd wait on you hand and foot!

Interesting regarding the formal resignation.  I'm glad you are pleased with the lawyers.

Darn.  I wouldn't mind a buffet if it was exceptional.  There should have been fancy desserts.

Boy did we get lucky with the weather.  We had light rain Tuesday evening which was not a big deal.  Yesterday was beautiful. I did not even need a sweater.until the evening. Today it is pouring.

It is pouring here too. And really cold.

My tablet has been wanting to update and I have been telling it "later" until we returned home.  I noticed there is an option to update at night, which means it will do it automatically between 2:00am & 5:00am.

I can hear my scream now when it begins updating while I am reading my book ;)

Of course I did not click on that option.

DR Jennifer I appreciate the fact it hasn't gotten cold yet.  I know it is coming.

Very nice

My musical quote arrived in the mail today. BK, please thank Mr. Sherman for it. I got very quiet when I took it out of the envelope and just stared at it for the longest while. So many memories.

Made a couple of pies when I finally got home tonight. Something called Cherry-o-cream pies. One for work, one for a party tomorrow night.

Instead of cleaning things off my desk, I worked two new requests in record time.

Watching a rather rickety bootleg of Aspects of Love. Well, the video is not great and largely faded to shades of brown, but the soundtrack is quite good.

The show makes a little more sense than from the mere cast album, but I don't know if that's better. Or not.

Back from a great dinner at Tony's Bella Vista - I guess I have to call this my splurge meal of the week - I ate way too much food, but from all I read to not do one big splurge meal a week is actually counterproductive.
