I just watched this past Moday's episode of "The Odd Couple" and they previewed next week's episode.  It's going to be a Gary Marshall tribute episode.  Gary Marshall played the father of Oscar, who is played by Matthew Perry.  They're having special guests who were on some of the shows Gary Marshall created.  Cindy Williams and Penny Mrshall will be in the episode, and are interviewed for this clip from Entertainment Tonight:

I recorded "Star Wars: A New Hope" on TBS and on my 16:9 widescreen TV, the image fills the screen.  The problem is that the movie is supposed to be 2.20:1, meaning black bars on the top and bottom of my widescreen TV.  That means that even in a world with widescreen TVs, we STILL have to deal with modified images and full-frame movies.  That's just wrong!

I would be outraged if I knew what that meant.
