In the meantime, I've taught my one class for the day and am slogging through my to-do list slowly.

I'm sitting on an itinerary for NYC.  Trying to get up the courage to commit to it.  I already have Dolly tix, which should be the incentive right there.  I think it's a great deal, I'm just having commitment issues!

No, it is too early 😆

AGREED!!

What if there were a date and time set for a mass NYC-and-environs-contingent get-together built around when your planned dates are?  Would that be a helpful thing towards nudging you or unproductive?

It never caught on, and indeed is no longer in the show I wrote it for, but here was my attempt to write a peppy "Christmas shopping in New York" song

I am home, and an ordeal it was: something is wrong with the subways - a person was pushed onto the tracks, I just heard on the news - and the buses are screwed up.  I waited for over 25 minutes for a 104 bus, that usually runs every 10 minutes.  I got to Staples, made my copied, and I am home.

I did have a nice lunch with my friend Steve.

I googled "pushed onto the tracks" and sadly there are a number of stories over the recent years.

Wonderful album. Leslie Uggams, Richard Kiley and his wife with Sheldon Harnick and Marjorie Gray, so many great songs.
