I've already seen today's Jeopardy. I thought the answer to the Final Jeopardy question was "What is the Chia Pet company?" I was wrong.

Now I get to do homework. :(

DRNOEL - I forgot to tell you....for airline fares you might also check

That site compares about 20 different flights to your destination and you can choose the one that you like best.

And remember on The Grace L. Ferguson Airline & Storm Door Company, you have to hang onto the straps during takeoff...except you people flying tourist....you don't have any straps.

The power of the Internet? Remember DerB's popcorn-stuffing recipe? The one that Danise e-mailed to her friends? Today it was e-mailed to me - verbatim - from a friend in Honey Harbour, Ontario.

That back firing bird sure does get around, huh?   ;D

WOW - 7 pages of posts before 5:0pm PST, I'm amazed.  My 1st and 5th graders performed today, they were very good as well as my 12 voice choir made up of 4-7 graders.  My 5th graders sang a truncated version of "Turkey Lurkey Time" about a 5th lower than normal and with out the dance part!!!  They had great enthusiasm and the audience loved it.  I began with "The 5th graders will now sing a song from everyone's favorite Broadway musical, 'Promises Promises'" <silence>   Can't win 'em all, I suppose.

Next Monday, Dec. 6, the USA Network is showing the Kelsey Grammer CHRISTMAS CAROL.  I, of course, will miss it because of Mr Kimmel's reading and the PARTAY after!

SPeaking of the newest TV version of "A Christmas Carol"... I happened to really enjoy it.  Maybe it was my over enthusiastic excitement of seeing Claire Moore, whom I absolutely LOVE in anything she's sung, but I REALLY liked "A Christmas Carol" for what it was.  Not for what I wanted it to be.  It was not the FInney version, it was not the Muppet version, I felt it stood fine on its own.

As for Jeopardy the cat is already out of the bag. It had already been announced what happens since the show is tapped well ahead of time. But my lips are sealed.

Here's a little musical puzzle for y'all:

Listed below are series of numbers and letters which are really titles of songs from musicals.  For example, D: 10; L: 3 would be "Dance: 10; Looks: 3 from A CHORUS LINE and 2 L S would be "Two Lost Souls" from DAMN YANKEES.  Don't post any answers right away--let everyone have a crack at it.  I'll post the answers tomorrow night.

1.  4 B D

2.  1 N I B

3.  A A Q T 9

4.  2 L I D S O D B T

5.  6 M O O E Y

6.  76 T  (If you can't get this one you might as well quit now)

7.  T A 8

8.  5 Z

9.  1 M K

10.  4 J I A R B

11.  O T N O A 1,000 S

12.  I T 2

13.  7 A A H C

14.  T A L 1 S

15.  W T W 65

16.  1 M A I H

17.  20 F

18.  T 7 D V

19.  16 G O 17

20.  2 G O V

21.  7 S, 4 R S, A A B O G

22.  1 B A A T

23.  10 M A  (This one is a cheat--not from a theatrical musical though the show was eventually perfomed live in New York)

24.  50,000,000 Y A

Jennifer I was under the impression the women are running around having affairs.  Am I mistaken?

You are right about watching something before judging it.  I just don't have the time to watch everything, plus there are two of us choosing our evening viewing.  When Keith traveled I could watch anything I wanted but no longer.

DR Jane, I don't really know your taste in tv shows, so I cannot say for sure if you would like DH.  All I can say is that EVERY single person I know who watches it raves about it.

There are 4 WOMEN who are the main characters.  And yes one of them (Eva Longoria) is unhappy and having an affair with her gardener.

Another one is divorced (Teri Hatcher).  The third is happily married with 4 small children (Felicity Huffman (sp?).  And the fourth is going through marriage counselling (Marcia Cross).

As others have said it's really part comedy and part mystery.  There truly is nothing like it on television.

It is definitely my favorite show of the new season.

Yes tonight's Jeopardy results have been well publicized.  I'd heard about it this morning (well to watch tonight).  I did watch the end and it was mildly interesting.

Btw, I believe Ken Jennings will be on Regis and Kelly tomorrow morning.

Good vibes to Dear Dog Echo and the caregivers.  They all need all of their strength!

[move=left,scroll,6,transparent,100%]~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~[/move]

Congrats to DR Panni and her new gig!

I like Building The Barn from Witness., The theme from Conan:  The Barbarion, the theme from Beauty and The Beast the tv show not the play or the Disney version.    That’s all I can think of off the top of my head but I’m sure that there are many, many more.

Tubular Bells  is my cell phone ring.  Seems fitting.  Some how.  I sure do get some looks when it goes off and people recognize it.

DR Panni, I shall have to try the chestnuts without salt.  Only do them that way because that’s the way my Mom taught me to make them.  I never considered just roasting them.

I enjoyed seeing the picture of DR TCB in is role as Scrooge!  I know what you thought I was going to say!

I agree with Jane about DESPARATE HOUSEWIVES.  I never watch it either.  I’ve seen all I want to see on the commercials.  I just do not think I would enjoy that type of show.  If I told you all of the shows that I have never watched, I think you would be amazed.

Just saw the end of Jeopardy!    :o :)  ;)

By the way (BTW, in Internet lingo), if you've finished Writer's Block and enjoyed it, then please do a review for amazon.com, being VERY careful not to divulge any of the book's secrets.  I'd appreciate it.

Welcome to Evelyn - come on in, we're very friendly, as you can tell, and we'd love you to post.  No biting, we promise.

MBarnum we have stopped watching JOAN OF ACADIA.  It seems to have lost its sense of humor and is too serious now.

RLP Echo reaches her paw back to Vickie the amazing cat.

Yes Danise we need our strength, especially Keith who has taken over their care.  His patience with Echo is beautiful.

Jennifer maybe we will watch when the reruns begin, if you can remind me then.
