I shall shortly be on my way to Calabasas High for the Richard Sherman event.  Hopefully they'll be here right on time or traffic will be not so good.

While I was coming home from work, as much as I wished I had not, I witnessed a head-on collision 10 feet from my van. Luckily, I managed to avoid what could of costed me my life.

DR GEORGE I once had a car like that.....only it was the driver's side door that would freeze.....and make it impossible to open whether it locked or not.

It's interesting.  Only my driver's side key lock seems to freeze.  I can almost always unlock the passenger side door with my key.  However, I do have a remote fob that can unlock the driver's side door (only), even if the key lock is frozen.

Took three boxes to packaging store for shipment to South Carolina.  Cost a small fortune, but not more than the contents, so....sigh.

The last time for all of this, hallelujah!

DR Jeanne, i've now watched two episodes of "A Place to Call Home." I'm already tired of Mrs Bligh's "I'm the villainess" act, which is too one-note, although I like the leading lady a lot, along with most of the cast.  I've been surprised several times, and  I really like the background music and its commentary on the situations.

By the end of the Mona Lisa episode and the POW suicide, Mrs Bligh became interesting to me.

Happy birthday, Jane!

Thanks DR John.  I hope it is warm in San Antonio when we are there.  It is too cold here.

It's in the 40s and 50s most days. A few occasionally in the 60s.

I really thought it would be warmer.  Oh well.  60 would be very nice right now.

I got a text from one of my staff asking if I was in the building (I wasn't) and I explained that I was going to be late and would have to walk.  I walked quickly in the VERY cold morning air.  Fortunately, it was kind of warming up, so I didn't totally freeze.  I was only about 20 minutes late to the training, which I've taken before.  Not much new to worry about.  Now I'll walk to lunch (there are a couple of places very close) and then I'll walk the rest of the way home to get my car, then drive back to work.  Fortunately, too, I live close enough to walk...which I should be doing anyway. ::)

;)

The powers of be have heard me say you need to be walking ;)

I have to take the car to the car place this afternoon because it seems time to replace the starter and/or its wires.  These are not expensive items, except for the ridiculous labor charges for however long the book says it takes.

One of the reasons I was willing to sell my old car before we moved here was that the labor cost to replace a 10 cent item was over a $1,000.  I couldn't have the oil dripping here.

Yikes! :o That's ridiculous.

;D  No kidding.

I worked on "Go Into Your Dance" a bit, and my super stopped by to visit for a second.  we had police in the building this morning to check on the 75+ year-old neighbor across from me.  My super tells me the obnoxious neighbor above me has moved out.  What good news!  She was making a ton of noise several days ago between 11:00p and 1:00am so I'm happy she's out.  We'll see who shows up next.

There have also been a lot of emails today about recording Moonshine and Mistletoe in early 2017. Everyone has a different opinion on what to record,

Congrats on the moving of the upstairs neighbor!

Happy Birthday, DR Jane!  Hope you're having a good day!

Thank you DR Kevin.  I am having a very good day.  We went to Beaches for dinner.  They sure know how to make you feel special on your birthday.  I came home with birthday caramel corn.
