TOD:
I went to The First Nudie Musical - very likely in its first few days of release, most likely in Westwood. Loved it, but I was ignorant of the people involved. I don't think I even knew who Cindy Williams was at that time. This was also right at the start of a period when I had this huge, dying television, which was so close to not having one at all that I just kind of ignored TV till I got a new one. It was some time before I began catching up with BK's various TV appearances, and I'm sure I have some yet to discover.
As a then-lightweight record collector, I nevertheless had the Nudie soundtrack as well as Stages. My biggest Varese thrill, though, which I didn't even make the connection on till much later, was the series of five Twilight Zone LPs on Varese which I treasure to this day. Later I acquired a number of CDs that coincidentally were BK productions. There were so many, of course, that I still find myself discovering one or another that I must have, and it's been great fun catching up on them.
I eventually caught up with BK the person via Home Theater Forum which is where I learned about the release of the Nudie Blu-ray. From there I migrated here, and the rest is history. It's interesting to muse upon the what-if's had BK's and my paths crossed while I lived in L.A. It's certainly been amusing to find that we were likely in the same place at the same time on a few occasions (as DR Jane and I were at the Heifetz concert!).
