DR Jane (or any other DRs who read): Have you decided what your first read of 2017 will be?

No, depends what becomes available from the library.  I am trying to finish the book I am reading and finish the year with "The 4th Man".  My library doesn't have it.  Did you buy your copy?

If I don't end the year with The 4th Man than it will likely be my first, very short, book.

Yes i bought my copy. Does your library often have such short e-books?

Sometimes but the original publish date was Jan 3rd.  I just purchased it.

Just finished Wiener Dog, which may be the weirdest, most hilariously uncomfortable movie I've seen all year. Very strange.

Of course the recipient of the strongly worded e-mail doesn't know when to leave well enough alone and just had to respond.  What that response was I do not know since I nuked the e-mail without reading its completely unnecessary response.

Back from a fun supper at Genghis Cohen with friends.  There were some frustrations - first of all while it wasn't that crowded when I got there, within fifteen minutes every seat was taken - NEVER like that on a damn Thursday night and it stayed like that the entire two hours we were there.  I had my favorite gal as waitress.  I ordered the usual stuff.  When the orange chicken (extra crispy) arrived it was not even crispy let alone extra crispy - those two orders went back, but even when it came back there was something off about it - it tasted fine but it just didn't look like it usually did and it just wasn't quite as good.  It was baffling to me the entire time until the check arrived, then I understood immediately.  When I order the Kung Pao chicken I order it with white meat.  I DON'T order white meat for the orange chicken, but she assumed I wanted that white, too - and therein lies the differences - I talked to my gal and she understood immediately and it won't happen again.  But everything was great and we all had a lot of laughs, too.  It's good to laugh, I recommend it for what ails you.

I gotta tell you.  Listening to some Larry Adler harmonica music - two concertos: One by Arthur Benjamin, the other by Vaughan Williams.
