I received an irritating email last night as well.

Someone who worked on one show last year.....ONE SHOW ONLY.....and hasn't done anything else here.....decided that all of the theatre groups in the area need to get together and plan their season with each other.....and he went on and on.....

I tried something like this years ago.....trying to get some of the nearby theatres to do shows together, etc.....and was immediately and harshly rebuffed.....

So I emailed him back and told him I didn't think it would work, and that it wasn't necessary.

Of course he is a member of a SMALL theatre group in a town about 40 miles away that has NOTHING in the way of costumes or technical equipment......and he has already let us know that we should LOAN our stuff to them.

NO NO NO.....they took some of our set pieces....hopefully they did return them. It has been my experience that they are quick to come and get things.....but if you want them back, you have to go get them yourself....if they can find them....

So he hasn't emailed me back. I would guess he now considers me part of the problem.

Someone actually bought the monstrosity to the east of me. Since there is no longer any privacy in my yard perhaps I'll go out there and do the Hully-Gully in the nude. Nightmare on Elm Street, baby. Maybe then they'll put up a bigger fence.

I learned how to wear contacts in "mono-vision" -- one eye distant, other eye close -- (it was easy) -- and the doctor has told me that that would be one of the options, if I wish, when my time comes to have the surgery.

We just watched THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN.

It was okay; a handsome production. But, the original was simpler and much better.

One of my friends had that for her cataract surgery, but it wasn't one of my options.
