Was that just for the part and labor? I have a '98 Ford Escort and was told at the place that I usually take my car that a fuel pump for my car would be about $700-800, plus an extra $100 for labor. A former coworker of mine has a Subaru Outback and she told me that she had her fuel pump replaced (at another place) for only about $500...including labor!
