Sorry to have been E&T but it's been a little busier than usual.

In other news...

Fuel pump.  Yes.  Which sounds like an innocent enough thing, right?

Well, it's about $1,133.00 innocent.  Or guilty, if you prefer.

Ouch!

Yikes! :o Was that just for the part and labor?  I have a '98 Ford Escort and was told at the place that I usually take my car that a fuel pump for my car would be about $700-800, plus an extra $100 for labor.  A former coworker of mine has a Subaru Outback and she told me that she had her fuel pump replaced (at another place) for only about $500...including labor!

It's a VW.   I love it, but never again.

Had a fun lunch with David Wechter at the Coral Cafe - had my chicken strips and fries.  And who should walk in to lunch at the restaurant but our very own John Boswell.

I might have said I was thinking about doing this, but I did re-watch THE FACULTY just a couple of weeks ago, and though I have no idea what your original story was like or how it differs, I really enjoy it.

Our original script is vastly different in every way, save for the bones of the story structure, which is all ours and Elijah's character is the same archetype as ours.  I enjoyed what they did with it, but in many ways ours was better and I will say we had a couple of really great gross out scenes they should have kept.

BK, have you ever thought about expanding your original idea into a novel and publishing the story that you originally wanted to tell?  Charles Pogue did that with his original version of "Dragonheart."

Just a thought. :)

It is a shame it has become expensive.  We have a VW SUV, diesel that can not be fixed.   Recently they announced the buy back price which we plan to take advantage of at some point.

Just ushered a very weird event. The theater was taken over by a hotel chain for their annual awards dinner. So the seats were dropped, the floor leveled and the dining tables set up. I was mostly directing people to the bathroom and answering questions.

Now I'm sitting in a Mexican seafood joint with a ice-cold beer and two blazing hot sauces that are burning my mouth in different but welcome ways.

I didn't know that was possible.

Yup...I've ushered for a couple of those kinds of events.  The WCPA is also available for corporate rentals, but I haven't heard of that happening in quite a while.

And now, I'm off.  I want to get something to eat, then I have to do some laundry...very much needed laundry. ::)
