I envy you all that Cole Porter, ChasSmith.

Just a quick reappearance to say:

Oh My God.  This music is magic, and the orchestrations are sublime.

And of course the orchestra is beautiful.

That is all.

TOD:
I wonder how many times I can suggest Claude-Michel Schönberg and Alain Boublil before Bruce finally screams at me, "I hate Claude-Michel Schönberg and Alain Boublil!" By the way, it's not that I love these writers, it's that they're the only musical theater people I can think of that Bruce hasn't already featured in a Kritzerland show.
So, I'll also put out my other suggestion again of doing Hal Prince part 2 because there were so many shows that were skipped in the first Hal Prince show because he did so many.

BK - Have you done The Songs by Robert Lopez (Avenue Q, Book of Mormon, Disney's Frozen) yet?  That could be a very big seller.

Jane, are you watching the Spike Lee movie?

Saw it the day it opened. Loved it. Still do. Very energetic storytelling. Never felt long to me.

We are.  I have read the book twice but it has been a long while.  While I recall parts of the film others, of course, don't fit with my recollection of the biography.  It is possible I only saw parts of it since my memory is not strong like yours is.

I slept quite poorly.  Perhaps it's the nerves in an uproar.  I think today's orchestra reading will go well, but there's always that thought - I've had it as long as I've been working - that by noon, I'll be out and Jonathan Tunick will be called in to replace me.

:o NO!!  That will NOT happen! >:(

My son, David, sent me the nicest gift.

It's a photo of me and Sal Mineo at The Playboy Club, taken in 1966.  I haven't seen it in almost 40 years; thought it was lost.  David found it while going through his late mother's stuff.

I'd post it here, but I think the jpg is too big.  You can see it on my FB page.

Here it is:

That's great.  Is that the Playboy Club on Sunset?

The night Sal Mineo was killed, I was at a friend's apartment across the street from his, just a few blocks from there.
