My son, David, sent me the nicest gift.

It's a photo of me and Sal Mineo at The Playboy Club, taken in 1966.  I haven't seen it in almost 40 years; thought it was lost.  David found it while going through his late mother's stuff.

I'd post it here, but I think the jpg is too big.  You can see it on my FB page.

Here it is:

;D

Thank you, George.

My pleasure, Druxy!

That's great.  Is that the Playboy Club on Sunset?

The night Sal Mineo was killed, I was at a friend's apartment across the street from his, just a few blocks from there.

Yes, The Playboy Club on Sunset.

His murder was so tragic.

TOD: BK, I think you should do a Kritzerland show of just Donny Osmond and John Boswell.

Topic of the Day:  How about love songs that never (or rarely or ambiguously) use the word "love," such as "I've Grown Accustomed to Her Face" or "How Deep Is the Ocean?" or "Multitudes Of Amys." :)

TOD - Words, Words, Words - songs about books, reading, writing, etc.

For starters:

Crossword Puzzle song from "Starting Here, Starting Now"
I Could Write a Book, Rodgers & Hart
The Girl on the Magazine Cover, Irving Berlin
Book Report song from "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown"

Other suggestions, DRs?

"Fill In The Words" from They're Playing Our Song

And not exactly the same thing, but The Witches of Eastwick, Bajour, and Candide all have a song called "Words, Words, Words."

I am home. I wasn't fired.  the orchestra was great and played well, and I am exhausted.  I will be in bed early tonight.

I did not get to spend as much time with our DR ChasSmith as I would have liked, so I hope he had a good time.  I basically gave him a pile of music and threw him to his own devices.  Moving about today was more of an effort than other days, and I ad lots of people to meet and cozy up to.

Some good thigs happened about other projects, so who knows?

Cozying.

Up.

Our Elmo.

In-con-ceivable.

A little bit.

But it makes me smile.

Back from the Costco run - didn't get all that much today - just preventatives, Diet-Coke and waters.

Interesting idea. It's no coincidence that DR Ginny was a librarian, is it?
