Well, you've read the notes, the notes had preventatives, and now it is time for you to post until the preventative cows come home.

I'm gonna tell you how fate works sometimes - I don't think it's much of a secret that my original plan for book writing this year was a new Adriana book - had the title and the setting all picked and it was a good one.  So, I'll reveal the title because when I do if you've heard the news today you'll know how a) prescient I sometimes am, and b) how awful it would have been had I actually written it in terms of the timing.  Murder at the Magic Castle.  For those who haven't heard, they found a dead body in a closet there - being investigated as a suicide at the moment.  Weird?

How was your show last night, George?

We had about 10 people in the audience, and they really enjoyed it.  One of the actresses has been sick since last Saturday's performance.  She had a sore throat and couldn't project as well as she normally can.  She's a trouper, though.  She was well enough to do the show and certainly acted as well as she usually does...she just has a weak voice.

Wasn't Arlene Golconda the love interest on those Mayberry shows?

Rehab places for physical injuries can potentially be very pleasant if the expectation is that it will be short-term (as opposed to permanent, that is).

When my mom had a fracture a few years ago that just had to heal, she really liked being in a a place where she felt secure in case of an aggravation of the accident spot, plus: at least for a short period, the variety of the activities they tried to plan for the patients was most enjoyable to her as she healed for that month or so.

No longer care about the Oscars except which song wins so I can change it from nominee to winner in my Itunes listing.

T.O.D.

When I lived in Los Angeles, I used to be a champ at predicting the Oscars; won a lot of pools.

Now, since I don't go to the movies any more and wait until a film is available on DVD, I often don't see a film until after the Awards ceremony.

That said: Even though I've read a lot of negatives about the movie recently, it appears that LA LA LAND will win Best Picture and Emma Stone Best Actress.

After the SAG Awards, I would give Denzel Washington, Viola Davis and Mahershala Ali the edge for the other acting honors.

Of all the films I've seen this year thus far, my personal favorite is HELL OR HIGH WATER, but I doubt if that will take any awards.

Actually, depending on how political the show gets, I might do what I did last year (i.e. go into my office and work on my new play).  If I want to hear about politics, I can watch the nightly news.

The problem with Oscar-winning (or nominated) songs in recent years is that they are totally forgettable.  The last one I remember is "My Heart Will Go On" from TITANIC, and that was 20 years ago.
