The Annual Roger Ebert Film Festival spotlights movies that someone thinks is unjustly overlooked.

This year, the lineup includes De-Lovely.

Ugh. Nuff said.

Bruce, aren't wedge salads with blue cheese dressing, AKA  a big chunk of iceberg lettuce with roquefort dressing, popular in L.A.?

There is no Roquefort dressing in LA - but wedge salads have made a comeback usually with bleu cheese - in the old days it really was just a quarter head of lettuce - now it's usually adorned with bacon bits and onions and other stuff.

"There is no Roquefort dressing in LA" - sounds like that should be the title of something, maybe a song in the spirit of It Never Rains in Southern California.

I'm up, I'm up - slept very poorly - maybe six hours of sleep and with some really weird dreams.  Awaiting what I hope will be miracle-sized news - send most excellent vibes and xylophones.

TOD:
Kay Cole's "Souvenir"
Love this CD! Actually, I've been listening to it since it came out, but I kept forgetting to post on a Friday.

Mark and I have been watching "The Voice" and we're very impressed with Brennley Brown's performances.
We normally don't watch any reality television, including any of these talent show-type shows, but Patrick Cassidy's son, Jack Cassidy, is also being featured this season and he's also moving up through the trials and doing very well. And of course, Mark and I have to watch anything with a Cassidy in it.

There is supposed to be another 10 cm of snow overnight. And it's unfortunately not an April Fool's joke. Are you kidding me?  This is ridiculous!

Friday afternoon greetings!  So far this morning I've pre-baked pizza crusts for tonight's dinner, roasted a new supply of almonds, opened all the mail that had accumulated last week, and put myself together for the day.  Now I have about an hour to knit before leaving for my 2-4pm shift at the AAUW booksale.

I am rushing to finish a baby blanket for our soon-to-be great niece.  Her parents live in Alaska and will attend a Cincinnati baby shower via Skype on Sunday.  The expectant grandma will open the gifts and we'll mail them afterwards.  Some people may have mailed their gifts in time for the parents-to-be to open them, but I didn't have time to get that done before our NYC departure.

I thought it was the same as what is now called blue cheese dressing.  Maybe not as I never liked Roquefort dressing but blue cheese is kind of ok.

I recall our first Easter in Massachusetts and the snow bunny Bryan built.

And now today. I find out later about whether I get the promotion. I'm not too optimistic, but it's not in my hands.

Friday, and the end of March.  Unbelievable.  Seriously, is someone trying to tell me the year 2017 is one-quarter over and done with?  How did this happen?

One day at a time, ChasSmith...one day at a time.

I am home.  The recording is in the can. After a shaky beginning, things started rolling.  After the ensemble laid down their tracks with the vocals from yesterday, everything began to make sense to the producer and engineer.  Suddenly I'm a rock star again.

Heigh-ho, the glamorous life!

I actually got 100 Two for the Roads today - I guess they do 100 free promos above the 1000 we ordered - so that's nice.  I've been trying all the damn day to get someone to give me the final total due so I can pay it, but apparently no one in finance actually works.  So, probably won't get to pay until Monday.
