I usually do when I can, too. I guess I was hoping that more could be provided, or at least told what was wanted for my several characters. I've heard nothing from the costumer, not even asking for any clothes or shoe sizes. I still need to get a couple (maybe only one) pair of pants. Another actor said that he has some things that should fit me, but we both won't be in rehearsal together until Wednesday.

I didn't for several more years, the partners went to jail and 3 of the attorneys bought the firm from them.

That firm , due to poor management was losing money hand over fist which is why. I eventually left ..too many weeks where the pay checks were late

What I still don't understand. To this day is why the officials ( who required the kickbacks as a condition to awarding the contract) and received the money for off Scott free , they were not even prosecuted they all retired with pensions and full benefits ... The guys who paid the money went to jail for 5 years and were disbarred

This Bruckner chap is okay by me. I'm interested to hear what Jochum's later set sounds like, as well as Gunter Wand. Well, you know what they say about your first - hard to top. Happily, there aren't all that many complete sets, so these three will be it. And I'm sure two will go on the sale pile pretty quickly.

I love Bruckner.

There's a great scene in Bergman's Sarabande where the aged, deaf Johann (the same character from Scenes from a Marriage) sticks head between two speakers and cranks up the Bruckner.

I never got to know any Bruckner, so it's great to hear some of you liking it and I will get on it sometime.

However, a few days ago something reminded me of a few of Eugen Jochum's recordings that I used to have and - I think - liked quite well, notably Mahler's Das Lied von der Erde and even his Carmina Burana, though no one's can touch the few top few of those for me. But I can well imagine his Bruckner recordings being excellent.

And yes, that sound. I'd recently reacquainted myself with the overall beauty of Deutsche Grammophon recordings of the 1960s and early 1970s, and man, they can be exquisite.

Years ago, when I was bar tending, I had a biker go out to his bike to get his gun to blow me away; because I had cut his drunk friend off. I went back to the office and called 911 and they made me stay in the back until the cops were inside the bar. And yes, he did get his gun and was just waiting for me to come back out so he could kill me.
