Sent off an e-mail to the person who was behaving reprehensibly.  My first version was classic me.  Then I went through it and took out all the emotional stuff and lashing out stuff.  I sent that to several people for their comments.  One of them took a few other things out so it was totally calm and professional - we all agreed that was probably the best approach, and then I sent it off, copying all those folks.

I find it helps me to write the emotional version before multiple edits.  I hope you receive an appropriate response to your professional email.

I have moved on to Martinu - I first played the CDs I had here from years ago and just didn't respond at all and nuked them right out of iTunes, even though it was a highly touted set on Supraphon.  But then I got a couple of those Karel Ancerl discs and they had some Martinu and it was a whole different ballgame.  So I took a chance on a set of the complete symphonies - well what a difference a conductor and sound makes - like the Brahms, it's like hearing the music for the very first time - great stuff.  I'm happy about this because as with Sibelius, I share a birthday with this guy.  Some of it sounds like movie music.

I think DR TCB wins the police story contest.

Thank you, DR Jrand66.  My EXACT sentiment, which I completely forgot to post this morning.

Now, when do they deliver his statuette?

Is it in the shape of a gun?

TOD 3:

Up in the Northeast, lobster Mac and cheese may be the most comforting.

Lobster mac & cheese is the very best, but I like almost all types including the blue box.

I suppose I should get her a cd or DVD of the show so she can familiarize herself with it.  She is so deaf now I do nit know if she will be able to follow the show otherwise

I forgot to ask... Ant recommendations on versions  DRs?

What about a copy of the script?  Then she could really understand the show.  I hope you all enjoy it!  I love ALNM!

Of course, you have to make the blue box with sour cream instead of milk!

TOD. My mom always made the box version... Not the "expensive" one with the foil packet with "cheese" but the one with the powdered "cheese"

THere is something wonderful about blue box mac and cheese.

When she was growing up, my niece didn't like Kraft macaroni and cheese because it was too cheesy for her...which is weird because she otherwise loved cheese.

I found the DVD and the obc recording on Amazon...I had $17 and change in credits so with free prime shipping I paid $6.21 for both

That's great!

Well, the interviews at work went well.  We had four interviews throughout the day and we have two strong candidates...including the internal candidate.

After work, I went to the TAO board meeting, and then the cast of Hairspray met and rehearsed with the full band of 11 instruments.  We got through most of the score.  It was nice to hear the band.

After rehearsal, I got a Fiesta Taco Salad at Taco Bell for dinner.  It was quite tasty.

After that, I did some last minute shopping for a tie for Harriman F. Spritzer (the largest of my roles in Hairspray).  I found a nice, conservative-looking zipper tie.

The best version of A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC is the Sally Ann Howes version.  I don't know if you can buy a legal copy.  I don't think it has ever been available from PBS.

What is a zipper tie?

It's a tie that literally has a zipper in it so that you don't have to actually tie the knot.  It's not a clip-on.  It looks just like a reglar tie and won't fall off.  They're great!

Who is he in the show?

He is the president of Ultra Clutch, which is the sponsor of The Corny Collins Show.
