I've started to watch the Malick movie. It's fun to see so many familiar Austin locations, but the style of storytelling is a little too ellipitical. Too interior, yet not enough. Too little dialogue and yet perhaps too much.
Can't fault the performers. Rooney Mara is spectacular, Ryan Gosling is good. Michael Fassbender is his usual self, also good, and now Natalie Portman has entered the picture. She's just fine.
As fascinating as it is, I can't help feeling that it's all bullsh-t.
