Had a somewhat irritating meeting at the Group Rep about something Doug is trying to get them to do next year - that I'd do the songs for and direct. I actually don't care one way or the other, but I know Doug really wants them to do it. But since there's no material for them to see they're all like "pig in a poke." Well, Doug's been there for thirty years and they've done many shows he's written - he played them This Christmas and the opening number of The Brain - if you can't tell my songwriting ability from those two songs then you're an idiot. And since this is a kind of fun spin on A Christmas Carol now exactly is that a pig in a poke? I felt bad for Doug - as I said, I don't give a crap whether they do it or not - it's over a year away - and frankly if they don't do it I'll just do it as next year's musical at LACC.
