Well, I just confirmed last night (because I wasn't paying attention before) that there is a Silent Sky matinee today. ::)

What is it with OLT and their strange start times?

I don't know.  Maybe to make sure people pay attention so that they will actually get there on time.

Jane - I'm expecting to fly in to see the show the second weekend of the run.  But the exact day will depend on what's going on around then work-wise.

It's so strange to think that here it is, with the show ending the 2017-18 season, announced and booked for a while already, and it's still over nine months away.

I thought the Anna Moffo La Boheme with Leinsdorf was released around 1962.  It was at the tail end of the Living Stereo era, and never carried that banner or logo.  I wonder if I still have a copy.

I also wonder if Toscanini's remark upon meeting and hearing Anna Moffo's incredible voice, "ahhhh, if only those were brains", is apocryphal.

General question for all.

If you have used a crowd funding program like indiegogo, gofundme or kickstarter or any other. Which one did you pick and why?

The World AIDS Museum and Education Center which is producing my new play as fundraiser wants to go this route to raise money for the production. So any feedback from people who have used one would be helpful. Thanks.

This evening I must drive nearly an hour to the calling hours for which the funeral is tomorrow morning.  While I didn't actually know the deceased, I know the family and the circumstances well enough to know that this is going to be a tough one.  I expect it to be very well attended, which will be good for all.

Last night Randy and I stayed up to watch the 1971 Clint Eastwood film The Beguled. I expected it to be creepier than it was, but I enjoyed it.

I saw on the news this morning coverage of the fire in LA.  I hope everyone is OK there.
