TOD - I loved THE TURNING POINT, but many people did not.

Yay, page 2, at 4:30pm EDT.

I've always liked it, and Nijinsky with Alan Bates.

I also daresay no one wants to sit through an hour-long podcast emanating from deepest darkest Connecticut about our upcoming I Do! I Do! -- but if you should decide to chance it, you can hear our lovely cast who turn out to be exceptionally good on "radio".  As an added bonus, buried somewhere in there is a nice but certainly undeserved shout-out for Yrs Truly, and you'll even get to hear our lovely duo read the local weather report.  I tell you, it doesn't get better than that.

That's pretty cool, ChasSmith!  Congrats!

For some reason I knew THE RED CHEWS was a ballet about ballet - maybe I saw an article or photo or video someplace on the innerwebz.

It looked most interesting - I am glad to have MR BK's take on it.

I love Altman's movie The Company but I found Black Swan to be what I'd imagine a bsd acid trip.

The other was Proust Was a Neuroscientist, about art and science. Fascinating but overly technical.

Yes you are correct about THE BLACK SWAN DR JOHN G.....but a bad acid trip is a trip nonetheless....

I will also add:

STEPPING OUT - with Liza Minnelli about a adult tap dance group....

AND

STRICTLY BALLROOM -  "There are NO NEW Federation steps!"

I fell asleep for what must have been a much needed nap.  Got about an hour, and now I'm groggier than all hell.

I also liked Billy Elliott and White Nights, though James Goldman's script for the latter was nowhere near the level of Follies.

I have put on too much weight in the two months that I've not been dancing.

That was fun!

I listened to about half of the program, enjoying it immensely.  Then I paused to get started on our dinner and I was going to finish listening while the tuna casserole bakes.  But, it took me back to the beginning and wouldn't let me fast-forward.  I'll hear the rest when I have time for the whole thing.  Wish I could see the show!

I've bever seen The Black Swan, and I think I may have seen Stepping Out, but I'm not sure. :-\ If I have, it's been many years, and probably not the whole thing.

But I absolutely LOVE Strictly Ballroom! :D
