After a week here and the realization that the place is hers, Annabelle has decided to be frisky this morning.  she had a round of head butting with me, then she rolled onto her back to let me pet her belly.  Then I got out my fish-on-a-rod toy and she played huntress for a bit, tracking the fish while she hid behind book cases to pounce on it.

DR Laura, I ordered that bird toy you recommended and it should be in this week.  She's also discovered the occasional pigeon on the fire escape which has only increased her window interest.

Well, where's the fun in that??

I had been sitting on the toilet with the lid down as I scooped out the litter box.  Annabelle chose that moment to let me know how much she loved me, chattering away and rubbing against me.  When I finished scooping, I picked her up, petted her, and then tried to stand.  I lost my balance and fell backward over the toilet.  She jumped out into the hallway, my lower back hit the sink,  and I landed in a tangle on my back between the tub and the toilet.  I missed her water dish and I missed the little box.  Luckily, I also missed cracking my head on the edge of the tub or the sink.

We pretty much got my entire first floor cleaned and mostly organized.  I have no idea where anything is anymore, but it's organized.

The problem with organizing.  Of course if everything was organized to begin with then it would not have to be moved and lost

No, the problem is that my mom did the organizing and she didn't tell me where anything is!  At least, if I'd have done it, I'd know where everything is.  But then if I'd have done it sooner (or on a regular basis), she wouldn't have to do it for me.

A coworker has a couple of cats and he said that they LOVE to sit at the front window and watch each week when the garbage truck comes by!

I put my Fitbit on the charger this morning and forgot to take it with me. I didn't get credit for my morning hike up the mountain.

I always take a plastic grocery bag with me to carry down trash. Today I filled two: one with a dozen plastic water bottles and one with bags of dog poop.

Some paramedics were on their way up the trail as I was returning to the parking lot. I didn't see anyone injured, but I guess whatever happened was after I had gone by.

I'm sorry to hear about your fall, Elmore. I'm glad it wasn't worse.

Thanks, Jrand!  I'm only one person, but a Costco membership is worth it to me for the gas and paper products alone.

Two items we don't purchase there.  No one else that I know of gives you 180 days to return hearing aids if you decide to do so.  I just did that just shy of the time limit and then purchased a different set.  I am not sure if I actually hear better.  These connect directly with my iPhone, which I guess I will be keeping for now, giving me more control for sound adjustments through the phone app once I figure it all out.

Then you are better than I am.  I know where things are in my mess but rarely where I put them after I organize.
