Thank you DR elmore.  The problem is actually with my shoulder, the one that had 4 breaks requiring the ball of my shoulder to be replaced.

While it is worse this morning, I have more confidence the issue is not with my artifical part.

I have a question for those of you who are more familiar with the backstage gossip of Broadway than myself.

Considering his roles in OKLAHOMA!, KISS ME KATE and KISMET, I've always considered Alfred Drake to be one of the great talents on the Broadway musical theater.  However, as I recall, when I was more active in the business, whenever his name came up, it was greeted with a scowl or a brief nasty remark with no explanation.

So, my question is "Why?".

Was he considered to be an a**hole among his fellow workers, or what?

I'm not writing a book about him.  I've just always been curious about that reaction.

Perhaps because of his liberal and activist leanings. He was on the so-called Red Channels list during HUAC.

DR JohnG, if you're going to have good results from your therapy, I think you'll feel it a day or two after.  After my therapy bouts, I was usually in pain for a good day.

There are two types of pain with me. The good kind is the muscle rebuilding its strength. The other is the way the back pain expresses itself. I’m supposed to have the former. But when I walk, usually a quarter mile or so, the wrong pain shows up.

Our DR ChasSmith just departed with a car load of cartons and a camera pf photos of the luscious Annabelle.  I think she was unhappy that I dragged her from her perch on the pet carrier in the closet to come play with us.

Then we took the cartons via elevator to the first floor, where we ran into Val, the super duper super, and he helped us load the cartons into DR ChasSmith's auto.

Things are going well, so  I hope one of the expected checks shows up.

I hope there is a photo of Annabelle on her perch before you dragged her off of it :)

Thursday afternoon greetings!  I was outta here for a 10am appointment with our family doctor for a flu shot and to have him look at my broken toe.  He said the pain I'm feeling in other parts of my foot and leg are from wearing flip-flops and from walking in ways to favor the sore toe.  So, I'm in more substantial shoes and trying to walk more normally.

Then I came home, sorted through my sister's donations to the holiday bazaar, and had lunch before my 12:30 haircut appointment.  Did one Mom-finance wrap-up errand and am home until Richard and I go out to get a new battery for my garage door opener and to have some dinner.

I vote for more cat photos.

Here's one of me with Neve clawing my neck...this was taken before I was able to clip her nails. :o

Back!

Annabelle is amazing!  Really gorgeous, and more exotically so than is captured easily in photos.  I took a few which I’ll post later.

She was really into her nap, but she tolerated our intrusion like the little lady she is.  I could quickly see why Val is so fond of stopping in to see her.

My book, HOLLYWOOD SNAPSHOTS: The Forgotten Interviews, is finally available on Kindle.

It contains my exclusive interviews with Jack Oakie, Claire Trevor, John Carradine, Ann Miller, Paul Henreid, Gale Sondergaard, Howard Keel, Yvonne DeCarlo, David Janssen, Mary Pickford, members of "The Little Rascals" cast, and many other actors, directors, producers and song writers.

Many of the often shocking things they said to me never made print...until now.

Druxy, I bought the physical book for my dad for his birthday.  He's really enjoying it. :)

She has finally leaped off her perch for some food.  Today, drawers are intriguing her.  She was just helping me with my external hard drive while I was trying to burn a CD.
