I went out with Joy, my dance teacher, and a friend of ours who had quadruple bypass earlier this year. It was the first time we'd been able to go out to dinner. Wonderful food and three good hours of relaxing talk.

In this episode of the Durrells, there is a hawk. J.B., who never reacts to the TV, is really unhappy with the hawk noises. I shouldn't laugh, but I can't help it.

[Jane]

We are a bit stressed out about this one though it was the first big trip I ever dreamed of taking.  Hopefully it is worth the effort and meets our expectations.

Today was college football day.

After Betzy cancelled out of lunch today, I pretty much turned into a potato slug.

I ended up ordering a pizza for dinner.

Tomorrow, I get my Safeway delivery.

Another excuse for not having to leave the house.

No snow yet, but we may get some in the night.

But it is really cold again tonight.  I may leave the heat partially on tonight.

Jane, it sound like an exciting trip.  How long will you be gone?

I have never been to Africa.  I was supposed to go to Morocco with Stan, but I had to cancel out for my second hip replacement.

I still would like to go to Egypt, but I doubt I ever will.

I don't have any plan to see the new version of MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS.  I was never a big fan of the original film.

My late friend, Diana (Stan's wife) always wanted to go to Egypt.  She loved Angela Lansbury's character in MURDER ON THE NILE.  she wanted to trudge across the desert wearing a pith helmet.

Sorry, I guess the play was MURDER ON THE NILE, and the film was DEATH ON THE NILE.  When I was doing the play, I was always using the wrong name.
