Well, you've read the notes, the notes were vacuumed, and now it is time for you to post until the vacuumed cows come home.

I would not complain about not getting snow.  There was a time I would have been sorry to miss out on it.

I fell asleep while reading Murder on the Orient Express.  Now that I am awake again I should return to it.

I got home about an hour ago.  Alexis' show was pretty good.  It wasn't a "play" as much as it was Alexis talking about her relationships and how they went wrong, how they went right, and a bit advice (essentially, learn from her examples) to others in similar situations.  The space was essentially a converted garage with a bar area.  We figured about 45-50 people were there, and only probably five men.  Everyone really seemed to enjoy the night. :)

Yesterday, Jane asked, "DR George, where did you end up eating?"

For lunch, I went to a local burger joint called Eagan's.  I usually go on Fridays and it's always been very good. ;D

I recorded Present Laughter on PBS last night.  I saw a very good production here in Olympia earlier this year, so I'm looking forward to watching this.  Hopefully, I'll actually make the time.

Today, I'm going to my sister's to help her move some stuff in her garage because she's getting a new refrigerator.  She's going to put her current (old) fridge into the garage, hence needing tomove things in her garage.

Some delays flying back into Newark Airport, which seemed to affect all flights going into Newark, and which looked like it created havoc for many on the flight who had to make connections, so those people had been given some boarding preference and helped with some seat swapping so they could deplane more quickly, I think.

Regarding the title of today's notes, it's an occasion to bring up one of my favorite lines from a play, a joke which seems to really fit the notes today:

"Nature abhors a vacuum, and so does my cleaning lady."  (from the play MONEY TALKS)

Do you plan to see the new film version with Kenneth Brannagh directing and playing Hercule Poirot.

It was great seeing Noises Off again.  I hadn't seen one in years.  Great cast, a production that moved right along beautifully, a wonderful opening night audience, and schmoozing till all hours.

TOD

Love fried foods, unhealthy though they may be.  But I don't overdo it.

I can't say I've had any truly exotic or bizarre fried foods, which is probably all for the best.  But two that I only "discovered" for myself within the past decade or so are fried green tomatoes and deep fried pickles.  Oh my god, I love these.

The Avenue Q will be interesting, as I haven't seen it since we did it three years ago.  I know a couple of people in the cast, but I know the entire band who are all good, and they've incorporated the band into the set design.

However, they're doing this on the main stage at the fabulous Warner Theatre (where vixmom and the Vixter saw Ragtime), which kind of makes no sense to me for this type of piece.  But we'll see, won't see?  Oh yes, we'll see.
