Back from Costco.  I'll relax for a couple of hours now, then get ready and I'll mosey on over to the House of Pies for a quick bite, then mosey on over to LACC and attend to a few things there.  I think I'll do my thank you notes whilst at the House of Pies.

DR elmore it is possible the rescue group has a vet you can get into sooner.

I am the problem.  I will try to see if I can get her in on Sunday, now that I know I'm going to BRIGADOON tomorrow afternoon.

Could it be the dust from under the bookcases, Elmore?

Check if you have to pay emergency visit fees on a Sunday.

Went to a different Big Lots today. Came away with several good movies, including MASH, one of the few Altman movies I need (there may be seven or eight more), The Big Sleep and Dark Passage, and a Blu and Ray of It’s a Mad, Mad, etc. (I enjoy the movie, but I don’t need the Criterion version at eight times the price).

T.O.D.

Once again, nothing.

I'm beginning to think I've lost interest in watching new movies.  I don't go to theaters any longer.  I don't think I've rented more than 2 or 3 DVDs this year.  There's just nothing out there I care to see.

I watch certain shows on TV (e.g. those produced by Dick Wolfe), and occasionally an old movie in my large DVD library, but I really have no interest in anything recent.

Is it me, or are they just not making good movies any longer?

I’d rather watch — or rewatch — an old favorite than a superhero movie or something of that ilk.

I picked up a copy of Wild Strawberries last night. Haven’t seen it since I was in high school, but it’s been a treasured film of my past. May hold off watching it until the recuperating begins. It’s slow and I think I will be, too.

Sometimes I go back to an old movie that I loved; watch it again and am very disappointed.

That happened a couple months ago when I re-watched THE STUNT MAN with Peter O'Toole.

I loved that film when it came out.  Watched it several more times on DVD.

But, it had been 10-12 years since I'd watched it last and, this time it was disappointing.

Don't know why.  O'Toole was great fun.

This is the first day that Thatch is showing a great desire to be outside the cage.
It's amazing progress.

Agreed!  That's wonderful, Larry!

Back from our errands, which were delightful until after lunch with Amy’s family.  From there, we went to the Springboro post office, where I was treated insultingly and didn’t get what I asked for.  Then we went to the candy store where I was told, no, they had no pecan halves and Richard found 2 bags of them.  At that point I asked him if I was speaking some language other than English today.  We stopped at Kroger, which was a zoo, and I’m now very glad to be home for a while.

Neither cat is eating the food they gobble every day!    I hope Thatch is not getting sick as well.

Thanks, DR Laura.  My day would have been fine if we’d come home after lunch.

And thanks for the video!

I'm back home after acupuncture and an errand. I'll be leaving for LEVI! in a couple hours. Traffic was bumper-to-bumper the whole drive last time, so we've allowed extra time. I'm really looking forward to it. LEVI!, not the drive.

Re: credit reports. Yes, the credit reporting agencies assume that a closed credit card was done so INvoluntarily and ding you for it. It's not permanent, though; it drops off after a while. If you're applying for a loan anytime soon, then, no, you wouldn't want to close the card. I've done so at times, though, because someone could still steal the card or your number. Some organizations will notate that the closing was voluntary, but whether that matters to the credit agencies I don't know.

Senator Warren and others tried to clean things up. I have trouble understanding resistance to it, but that's politics, I guess.

Larry, if the cats aren't drinking water you may want to give them some with an eye dropper. When one of my cats had feline leukemia (before the vaccine) I used to hold her in my arms and gave her water and also baby vitamins. She came through it and was quite healthy afterwards.

I was advised by the vet to call tomorrow morning and see if there are any cancellations for tomorrow or Sunday.  Annabelle sounds as though she has laryngitis.

If they don't seem sick, maybe they're just tired of the food right now.  Neve has eaten a specific flavor of cat food voraciously one time, then not even touched it another.  I have no idea why. :-\

I watched Annabelle tonight.  I think she's unable to smell anything at the moment, and that's what's affecting her eating.  I also think because she's sick, she wants to withdraw.  The tuna water went untouched, although I'm leaving it out for her.  Thatch ignored his dish as well.

Poor kitties. It hit fast, didn't it? I'm sure they'll give you some clavamox. That's the standard cat antibiotic.
