And Annabelle has an appointment for today at 11:30!  This is a great relief.

Very good.

I just remembered, sometimes the cats at home were bothered by the scent of the other cat after a trip to the vet and hissed. If that happened I would either give them both baths (not if one was sick) or rubbed them both with a damp cloth (doing the well cat first) so they smelled the same.  It worked.

The only time new kittens made our cats sick was when the kitten had distemper.  The kitten, while close to death had we not gone to the vet, seemed fine and ate.  The 2 adults cats did not get distemper but they were very sick and could not breathe.  The vet suggested raw meat and it worked.

Between the vet bills and our lack of income the cats were eating expensive food while I baked a lot of bread for us.

We moved the accent chair to the end of the rug making it more of a group....so we are still experimenting with placement.

Thanks to all for the kind comments.

Annabelle would probably appreciate the heated bed, since she is sick. Poor gal.

I have to tell the children's story at church today in a couple of hours. I'd better come up with something.

I also got that a few times yesterday evening, so I guess it was affecting all of us across the country.

Rudely awakened by some moron stomping around on the roof - said moron was supposed to be here Friday to install rain gutters and wasn't, and decided nine o'clock on a Sunday was the perfect time.  Six hours of sleep and I've already expressed my displeasure to Grant.

Someone posted on Facebook that Cassidy had died last night - Broadway World apparently in their desire to be first, spread that erroneous news - where they got it is anyone's guess - they took it down without an apology or even an acknowledgment that it had been up.

We are home.  Annabelle has a head cold and a bit of conjunctivitis.  I have, as DR Laura suggested, Clavamox for her cold and Erythromycin for her eyes.  The doctor also administered some fluids for dehydration under her skin.  For the next three days she will be eating Gerber's Chicken Baby Food.

Thatch's and Annabelle's new doctor is a lovely lady, Dr. Mohr.  If things have not picked up by tomorrow, she wants me to bring Annabelle back in.  She also discovered that one of Annabelle's fangs is damaged and needs some dental work.  She also said that Thatch could indeed have brought the infection in with him.

I'm surprised to hear it's only a head cold, but that's good news.  And I'm glad to hear she'll welcome you bringing her back if no signs of improvement tomorrow.

Sorry to hear about the fang.  I hope she doesn't have to lose it at such an early age.  But Poe had a bad fang, too, one of his uppers, that eventually was loosening on its on and looking infected, and had to be removed way before any other teeth did later.

Well, it's time to brave the crowds and go turkey shopping.

Just Trader Joe's today, with any small additional stuff needed to be taken care of over the next couple of days.

I had the pleasure of seeing "Levi!" last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. Many of the songs are very catchy, the story is poignant, and the dialog is clever. The set design and costumes were very impressive too. Interestingly, I would say that "Opportunity" was not the song that grabbed me the most. I liked the song "Levi!" the best with "Like a Man" a close second. The cast was very good. Compared to other LACC shows I've seen, I thought this one had the best blend of professionals and students, meaning there weren't glaring differences between the two. Marc Ginsburg is really wonderful with an amazing voice, and I hope to see him in other performances.

Sunday afternoon greetings!  Fr. Richard substituted at Dayton’s Christ the King today, so I went with him.  About 20 minutes before the service was to start I developed an epic nosebleed and sat in the church parlor for the duration.  With attention from one of the ladies, a box of tissues, and some ice from the kitchen, things finally calmed down before the service ended.  We stopped for a burger on the way home and now I’m ready for a nap.

Right, no need to take him in for this.

If I recall correctly, our vet had said that this will happen more frequently when a new KITTEN -- as opposed to a new adult cat -- is brought into a household.  They are little germ factories.

Just like human kids.  Rob always got sick whenever he started interacting with a new group, like at the beginning of a school year.

Glad to hear Annabelle has been seen and there’s a plan...

Giving her her eye drops is going to be trickier than I thought.  I can't begin the Clavamox until she eats and, while she's probably starving at this point, she will eat nothing she cannot smell.

If Annabelle got fluids, that alone will probably make her feel better. Hopefully she will eat on her own.

You know that Joshie had all his teeth pulled. He was able to eat just fine.

Does anyone in LEVI! eventually wear a pair of the titular garment?
