*Bowing*

My cat is now on the floor, pigging out on cat food, which means I am free to get up and go to futon. Good night everybody!

I am watching Blast from the Past.  A silly movie, but a guilty pleasure of mine.

Is that the Brendon F movie Ann. A guilty pleasure here too.  The camera loves Brendon.

-Btw, the previous paragraph was sung in the key of G#-minor - the relative minor to the key of B.  I guess it could be sort of like a B-section, or would that be a G#-section?
...
I decided to go modal for the above paragraph.  Mix it up a little bit.  I started off in Mixolydian (starting on D), then switched to Lydian (starting on F-sharp).  The finished it off with some sprechstimme.
...
That was in 12-tone - Here's my tone row - Get ready to make your matrix!  D, B-flat, C-sharp, C, G-sharp, F, A, C, E-flat, E, B, G.  *For those astute eyes/ears, the thirds are on purpose, sort of like what Alban Berg did in the Violin Concerto.

Thank you, Jose, for bringing a smile to another theory nerd's face.
Ahh, 12-tone matrices... hmmm, perhaps if we do a 3rd species counterpoint incorporating the inverted retrograde starting on the 9th chromatic degree... :D

I'm cooking up some rice for a late-nite snack.  (No carbophobe I!)

And after measuring out the rice, and putting the rest away, and then coming back to the computer while the water came to a boil, I went back to totally forget where I'd set the measured-out rice!  I must have spent a full minute, trying to find it.

(But it has been found, and my sanity restored.)

I'm ba-ack...

Never really left.  I remembered there was something I meant to research earlier on the web, so... Before I forgot... again... Consequently, one search led to another and so on and so on....

Guess I'll hang out for the new notes...

This calls for tea, to celebrate.

(Sorry, Diet Coke is just too sweet for rice munchies.)

Excellent - you can eat rice whilst reading the new notes, and then we can all post and you can tell us all about your rice.  If Ann were eating rice she'd be Ann Rice.

Rice?  For a late night snack?

Are you sure you're not Filipino too?
