The kitties are fed, the bed is made, and the litter box needs tackling before I can seriously vacuum this apartment.  I got a nice email from my choreographer-veterinarian friend Mike with suggestions on making the eye treatments less terrifying for Thatch.

The snow was supposed the begin "after midnight". Then "4 am"...nothing yet

Then it was 9 am, and nothing yet.  Talk about sweet seductive promises certain to be broken...

Annabelle changed beds three times last night.  When I turned off the lights, she was in her bathroom tub; when I got up around 2:30, she was in her heated bed; and when I got out of bed this morning, she was in her covered bed.   Thatch seems to prefer sleeping in the cat tree.

A leisurely birthday dinner at a nice restaurant in Santa Monica with Nick and Julie sounds like the most perfect thing.

Well, I think the epidural was really beneficial.  Yesterday, I wasn't sure.  I was in a great deal of pain where the injections occurred, and I was really tired.  I slept last night with no leg pains at all, and I feel my walking is going better today as well.  I hope this optimism continues.

There are some nights I’ve got two cats pressed into my sides in bed all night, and others when I don’t have the slightest idea where they sleep.

I need more coffee before I tackle the litter.  A stiff drink would b good, too.  Those two kitties are turning into eating-pooping machines.

Apparently, yesterday's snowfall was the biggest they've had in Austin since 1985.

Saturday morning greetings!  I’ll be E &T throughout midday, because we going on a train ride with great-nephew J, his parents, his maternal grandmother, and his godparents (Rob and Mary Linda).  Oh, and Santa Claus!  This outing is J’s part of second birthday present from us.  He turned 2 on May 2...

We got about an Austin sized snow last night, but it should be gone by this afternoon.  I am planning to attend my first theatre board meeting since LAST March tomorrow....I am looking forward to it.

Thatch, fearing the worst, has gone into hiding, and it's in none of his usual haunts.  Annabelle is still pissed at me for this morning's syringe of something bitter.  I have become a pariah to my kitties.

Thatch came out of hiding and his eyes are closed shut.  I do not think this Erythromycin is doing a goddamned thing for him.

I stepped out to post a letter.  The snow looks great and it put me into a Christmas-y mood.  Walking is a bit of a pain, only it's a different pain now.

This morning I went and picked out a painting. I’d commissioned one a few years back from a friend I had worked with st the Census Bureau. She was down on her luck and I thought she had forgotten about it. Nope. She emailed a few weeks back and I went to pick it out today. It’s like a Dr. Seuss version of San Antonio’s River Walk. It’s huge, too. Three feet by four feet.
