Continued vibes for DR JEANNE.

Futz & Finesse sounds like a law firm or a talent agency.....or both!

What a strange day. Most of it has been spent in ways I don’t even quite remember clearly. But the day has passed.

I could say that of a lot of days.

The dentist said that the crackdown on opioid use means that he can no longer call in prescriptions for painkillers. He suggested I try 2 Advil with 2 Tylenol--at the same time. I heard of this a few months ago, but didn't have a serious toothache then. Since I prefer to start with a conservative dose I took one of each and surprise! Relief! None of this stuff is good for your stomach, but I certainly prefer OTC meds. I hope to get some sleep tonight.

He still needs to see me, which I'm hoping is tomorrow afternoon.

I just listened to the sample songs for LEVI on the Kritzerland website.

Looking forward to hearing the entire score.

Unlike so many shows in recent years (including HAMILTON), this sounds like my kind of musical (i.e. one where you leave the theater actually humming the songs).

I'd be surprised if you don't hum this score.

Fred, I enjoyed your alternate LET'S GO FLY A KITE lyrics, too. I've just been wrapped up in dental issues.

I don't like Advil either and didn't know you could safely take it with Tylenol.  Thank goodness you have relief, and with half the dosage which I too would have begun with.

The last several days I have had to force myself to eat.  This morning I kept breakfast simple and it wasn't too difficult.  I actually enjoyed lunch except for the 2nd half of a pear and then didn't feel well for a couple of hours.  Dinner was fine and so far I am not hurting.

It was nice to not gag while I ate :)

Had a wonderful stumble-through - I gave some quick notes and was on my way to my engineer's by three-twenty, arriving there a little before four.

I really thought I'd be there until ten or eleven, but despite my doing some heavy editing in one number (didn't want so much dialogue) and finessing every mix thoroughly, we finished everything by eight-fifteen and after stopping at Gelson's for some snacks I was home by 8:45 and will get to writing in about ten minutes.

Well, the symphony seems saved for another week. The mayor addressed the 1,200 we had tonight before the concert started and said something would be worked out. I hope. Anyway, it seems to be back on, at least on a week-by-week basis.

Tonight's concert was a tribute to the city's tricentennial. It featured a lovely soprano, Ana Maria Martinez, singing pieces from Spanish zarzuelas as well as Falla's Siete canciones populares espanolas.

My favorite, though, was the Ravel Alborada del gracioso.

Here she is singing Romanza from Maria la O. Some guy named Domingo seems to be conducting.
