Many times I have taken four cats to the vet all by myself.  Yes, I preferred it if I could time the visits so the boys could go with me or Keith, but usually it was just me.

Tell your sister to ask for assistance at the office and they should help her take the crates in and back out to her car.

My niece had no trouble getting them into the vet's or back home.  I think they asked me to help because they always just ask for help, even though they may not actually need it.  They just assume that they can't do it without help. ::)

I used my new Icon parking app to reserve a parking spot ( and pay for it)

There was a 20% discount for using the app.  I found a place about a block away for $20

(After the discount)

That sounds like a great deal. I knew you could often find a good rate, but I didn't know that the space was reserved. That would be a real relief for me.

...or maybe they just don't want to do it themselves.

Well, I got up and out of bed this morning in time to meet my niece to help her take two of her cats to the vet, but I couldn't remember if I was supposed to meet her at her house or at the vet's, so I went to her house, but my niece wasn't there because she had actually left five minutes earlier and took her cats to the vet's by herself, and it turns out that she didn't need my help even if I had gotten to the vet's in time, so I wasn't even needed and didn't need to get up too damned early on a day off! >:(

Poor George! Cheated out of a nice sleep-in. I'd be annoyed, too.

I am pleased to announce the publication of my latest one-woman stage play, IDA: The Last Lupino, which is available in both paperback and Kindle editions via Amazon.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/1983499994/ref=sr_1_1

Unlike all my other one-person stage plays, Ida Lupino was a actress that I knew. I met her and her then-husband, Howard Duff, when I was 14-years old and kept in contact with them both, off-and-on, for the remainder of their lives.

I’m quite proud of this one, my 10th one-person play.

Performance rights are available. Please contact me for details.

She is one of my all-time favorites. Look forward to this.

I don't recall if I ever met her, but I do have a lot of respect for her work.

When I was nine or ten, her TV show MR ADAMS AND EVE ended and the set was struck, along with the dressing rooms. In those days dressing rooms were simple things, not the air-conditioned trailers of today. The dressing room for MR ADAMS AND EVE was a duplex--Howard Duff had one side and Ida Lupino had the other. As it was getting tossed, my dad nabbed it and brought it home for me to play in.

Well, I suppose I should get out of bed...again.  I do need to take a shower and do some laundry.  I'll watch some TV before rehearsal tonight.

Be back later.

I had a delightful lunch with former DR Ben and his DH Anthony.  We went to the usual place, Good Stuff Diner.  They have a great, varied menu.   Afterwards I went to their cozy apartment and saw their Christmas tree and decorations.  I had a great time.

Am glad I don’t have to go out in it, but it’s going from 65 degrees to winter storm watch in a couple of hours.

I liked Mike Douglas because he would have a guest host for five days in a row, so you really felt like you knew the person better after seeing them all that time - 90 minutes a day, 5 days a week.

But he wasn't very interested in some of his guests, and his writers were not very good with the sketches the guests were featured in.  I remember especially a terrible sketch with Butterfly McQueen that humiliated her and made her repeat her "birthin' babies" quote for GWTW.....

Of course some celebrities could use a reality check.....but it wasn't usually those people that MD would run over.....

Nice story DR JEANNE.....I remember Adams/Eve was a comedy, but I don't remember laughing very much....of course I wasn't even 10 years old.....and I didn't think Ida Lupino was very funny on the Lucy/Desi comedy hour she and Duff did.....

But she was great in several of her movies......and she was a director!

I made about six ounces of bow tie pasta with red sauce - very good but not enough food for an entire day, so I'll probably go out later and get a little snack of some sort.

People have started posting all kinds of creepy videos from the Brady Bunch Family Hour, one of the weirdest variety shows ever. Enjoy. This is one of the least offensive:

I had a grilled cheese sandwich and a cup ofd chicken broth, but i'd kill for a good slice of pizza or some lasagna.  Or a tamale.
