ASK BK DAY:

Do you have a favorite song among those that the Sherman Brothers wrote for Miss Annette Funicello?

SNOW!

Only a couple of inches, because fortunately we were just a few miles below the path of yesterday’s Texas-to-Maine storm.

And the snowblower is still in the shop, so the less there is to push around, the better.

That's a relief.

Watching Terry Gilliam's Brazil. Brilliant, having fun. Haven't seen this since the release in the theaters, I don't think. So, I don't know if I've seen Gilliam's original vision or the studio's hack job.

I was too beat to commemorate the occasion last night, but before the (thankfully) delayed storm got here yesterday evening, I was able to run out to the local Apple Store and bring home my first ever:

15" MacBook Pro, 2015 model -- pre-touch bar, and with real ports.  Love them ports.

It took a year, maybe longer, of decision making to arrive at this moment.  And it's certainly challenging.  I do feel overwhelmed when trying out different things, and finding some of those different things to be, well, different.  But I'll get there, without regrets.  This is all about being better with musical activities, and I'll be ready to begin learning Mainstage (for really good keyboard programming) very soon now.

Thanks, Nursie!  I'm just feeling puny.  The nice thing is, after Friday's rehearsal, I can spend the entire weekend in bed recuperating if I feel like I need to, and at the moment I'd love to do just that.

Thanks, DR George!  I'll be working on harp parts up to the Friday morning band rehearsal.  I'll take some in to Joshie tomorrow and write the remainder tomorrow afternoon and evening.

Back inside from a little snow cleanup, and ready for something to eat.

I'm thinking:  grilled cheese sandwich, soup... ?

When we lived in New Jersey Keith had to cover the engine in his car on cold nights or it wouldn't start in the morning.
