I keep remembering the scene in Tammy and the Bachelor, when she was working in the mansion as a tour guide and told the story of the dress she was wearing......and loved her singing the title song.....

It's been 61 years since I saw it at the drive in, and I remember like it was yesterday.  I bought the DVD set that has ALL The Tammy movies on it, including Sandra Dee and Susan Watson....  They just point up how good Debbie was.....

I was sorry the sequels had Tammy moving on.

When my baby sister Molly was small - before and after her foot operation (she wore a cast until she was about 2 1/2 years old, she was born with a club foot) - we would always listen to the soundtrack of The Unsinkable Molly Brown.  We loved it.

She had a walking cast, so she would dance to "Belly Up to the Bar".  Our favorite song was "He's My Friend."

Last night I watched Debbie Reynolds in the movie.  It's the first time I've watched it since she passed away, and it made me very sad.  She was something special.  I didn't like ALL of her movies, but she was good in everything.

I wonder - what is everyone's favorite Debbie Reynolds movie...

SINGING IN THE RAIN with THE UNSINKABLE MOLLY BROWN a close second.

JRand. The judging us done in a blind taste test, so the judges don't know who made which chili

The one that won was a turkey chili served over quinoa and ciltrano

It tasted nice but in my book it was a turkey stew, not chili

I did not make the sweet chili and there was disappointment, but the chili did come out pretty well.  It had a nice deep beefy flavor and it was only medium hot not real spicy.

About an hour before I was due to leave for the church I gave the pot a Stir and tasted and realized it had become way too salty...it was 3 hours before the beginning of the contest

Vixdad ran to the store for me and bought 2 cans each of Goya red kidney beans and Goya black beans ...  I rinsed them well to be sure they weren't going to add more salt and stirred them in

I still don't like beans in chili but they did the trick and by serving time the chili was "just right"

You are welcome DR VIXMOM.....I am not appeased by the story that it's a blind taste test.....sounds like the Russian ice skating judges from the Olympics.....

I have decided the judges don't really like chili, they really like poultry stews

DR George, I thought you might appreciate my purchase!  Richard and I reassembled it this afternoon and he and Rob hauled it into the space I’d created.  When I have it prettied up a bit, I’ll post a photo.
